I'm confused as to what many of you think the connection to the burnt house is. AFAIK, the house burned down the night before Morgan was found, right? I can see there being some kind of a connection if it burned the night AFTER she was found, but not under these circumstances. Unless Morgan's remains were being hidden inside the house and were moved to the field that night, and the house was burned right after she was moved but before she was found in order to destroy evidence (which I don't think is plausible AT ALL), I'm just curious what some of the theories are of posters who think there is/may be a connection. After all, how would anyone know the farmer was going to find Morgan's remains that day?

I think what brought the burnt house subject back was the sheriff who took his own life who, it was rumoured, was related to the person who owned or rented the burned down house (see couple pages back, link to article and findmorgan discussion). Of course there's probably nothing to it but it was weird

Thanks, but that forum/website attracts a lot of trolls posting false information as those who followed other cases on there know, it's because there's no quality control on the posters. I don't think it's moderated very well.

I thought it was interesting because other sleuthing sites believe LE has a person of interest and an arrest is imminent. I am aware that unmoderated sites get alot of trolls but sometimes locals post and offer some relevant insights. I have no idea what category that poster falls into.
I don't think the topix site is moderated at all.

Yeah I was like, wth? And then I was thinking, sounds like he knows a little too much. And then I saw that it said he was from NY? Who knows. I just like to see and read various things. Even if they sound crazy. Because it's interesting when we finally hear the end results, to see if any of it did indeed tie in/had any truth to it.

Wow, CementPond, that was some hot tip posted. Too many numbers, degrees, and elevations for me to understand. What a loony, IMO. Got a chuckle out of me though which most say is not easy to do. Thanks!:woohoo:

The following quotes I had cited regarding the suspicions of 3 or 4 boys accompanying Morgan...

“It was right about 9pm when we were driving down Massie Road with JPJ to left,” says a Richmond bookkeeper/musician whose late arrival prevented her from hearing opening acts Gojira and Lamb of God— but got her there in time to spot a “wobbly” blonde woman step in front of the car. With the blonde were four young, white men— a conspicuous group, says the witness, because of the direction they were headed: away from the Arena.

But as the blond woman— accompanied by three young men, two shorter, one taller— passed by her in the well-lit brick walkway along the Lawn, she says, she got a clear look at her face, and her heavily made-up eyes, in particular. She says the woman’s presence in the wee hours of a chilly night— and her bare legs— seized her attention. —http://www.readthehook.com/blog/ind...fore-hitching-morgan-harrington-caused-worry/

...were questioned by a poster on thread 11:

Morgan was wearing black leggings with knee high black boots. Her legs would have been completely covered. —http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93491&page=32 Post #788

The quotes are of 2 separate witness accounts. The first at 9 pm. The 2nd was an alleged sighting "in the wee hours" and (see BBM):

“I know what I saw,” says Norma Parson, a newspaper delivery woman who believes she saw Morgan– or an incredible lookalike— coming out of a room on UVA’s West Lawn at 3:45am October 18, six hours after the last confirmed sighting on Copeley Bridge. —same article, same link as top quotes.

This 2nd sighting is by the newspaper carrier who doesn't think LE gave significant enough weight to her lead. In the same article she acknowledges that the police description included leggings/tights [which could have been removed for various reasons within 6 hours] and confirms she DID see boots:

“She was tall and thin,” says Parson, who says the woman’s high black boots had heels making her appear taller than Morgan’s reported height of 5′6″ and that she wasn’t wearing the black hose or tights police have described. —same article, same link as top quotes.

I wanted to include these additional quotes for those who haven't read the article for the sake of clarity and because I don't want to discount this sighting. I couldn't address it in thread #10 because it is closed.

Another person claiming they've tried calling in a tip. Take it for what it's worth.

I know it's a very odd posting, but the person says from the outset that they are autistic and a savant. I don't like to rule out any kind of help, even if I don't understand it.
I posted a reply to him, as I don't see what house (or the area of the house) is that he thinks Morgan escaped.

Good evening! :seeya: Nancy Grace is going to talk about Morgan tonight.

The Harringtons were able to view the remains, which Gil described as “lovely bones” — a reference to the best-selling book by Alice Sebold about a murdered 14-year-old girl. The book has been made into a movie.“I have reviewed images of my daughter from her prenatal ultrasounds to looking at her empty eye sockets of her cranium,” Gil said calmly. “Yes, I have seen lovely bones. Lovely girl.”

Article and video from the Today show this morning.

Heartbreaking!

Wow. I just don't know if I could see my child that way ... or, on the other hand, I may be like Gil and HAVE to. I just don't know.
I'm really concerned about her ... she looks so terribly gaunt, like she hasn't eaten since Morgan went missing. So sad to see the great toll on this (and any) family.

I agree. I believe he was talking about this street to the left, Red Hill (he mentions it at the end of his very long first paragraph). He seems to think she came from a house on that street, ran across the road, into the woods which lead uphill to where she finally collapsed before she could see the farmers house just beyond. At least that's how I read it.

Sorry, map link isn't working. Just bring up the farm and look at the road to the left.

I thought so too but Tiger is on. I'm afraid she's trying to rope us in only to give the Harrington's the last 5 minutes. :banghead:

I've been lurking around the Morgan board on here for quite some time! This is always the first site I check when I want up-to-date and accurate info on ANY case. What a great job digging and updating you guys all do! :)

I want more information about Morgan's behavior. Is there any info about whether it was true that she was crying in the bathroom at the arena? What about her kicking a guy in the parking lot who "wouldn't" walk with her? These are things I heard tonight on Issues with Jane and I had heard this before. I've heard some rumblings recently about the possibility that she cut her chin during a fall, but not the other things. Can anyone fill me in or direct me to a place on the board where this has been discussed?

Thanks so much! :)

If NG does one more TW story, I'm going to ban her show from my TV. What about missing kids and unsolved cases Nancy? :(

Now I'm hoping it isn't just that too. <<sigh>>

Why?!?! To not interrupt church services? To be sure everyone GOES to church?! Wow, that's an odd law. :waitasec:

A bit off topic but yep, that is exactly the reason. In the South they used to have something called “Blue Laws”. These were laws that governed things like stores being open on Sunday and restaurants selling liquor by the drink. Having grown up in Roanoke VA., I can remember no stores open on Sunday except drug stores. It changed in the early 1970’s; restaurants weren’t allowed to serve any alcohol but beer until the mid 1970’s. As hard as it is to believe today, there are still “dry counties” in the South where you can’t even by alcohol at all. These are, as far as I know in North Carolina and none in Virginia any longer. When I was a teenager there was a fast food type restaurant that came to Roanoke in the early seventies called “Lums”. Their claim to fame was hot dogs cooked in beer. Well, you would have thought the devil himself had opened up the place. Roanoke fought it for months but it opened anyway. It was out of business in 6 months.

Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, etc. are part of what’s called the “Bible Belt” in the South. Blue Laws, which go back to the time of our founding fathers, are slow to be repealed. Hunting on Sundays is not allowed because of the Blue Laws still in place. You can golf, fish, boat, go to football games, etc. but you can’t hunt.

Can't hunt on Sunday here in Pa. either.

If this witness is creditable who are the four young men Morgan (if it was Morgan) was last seen with? If this was Morgan she changed from being upset to being happy…did she know these men?

 • #358
We have an eyewitness placing Morgan in the RV Lot and we know Morgan’s purse and cellular phone (w/o battery) were found in the RV lot.

 • #359
Nancy's starting to talk about Morgan now.

 • #360
By the way there are more than one eyewitness seeing Morgan (if it was Morgan) walking across the street with several companions.
