Police blocked off the road to traffic at the Copeley Road Bridge for Friday's event. Over 100 people attended.

The families of Alexis Murphy and Hannah Graham joined Dan and Gil Harrington to remember Morgan. The families tied colored ribbons to the bridge as reminders of their missing daughters. Law enforcement from central Virginia who continue to work on the cases of the missing women also attended to show their support.

"We have managed to make good things come from her foreshortened life, but we still deal with the tragedy of missing her every day,” said Gil Harrington, Morgan's mother

Family of Morgan Harrington urges vigilance in search for Hannah Graham
By Ellen McCarthy October 16 at 8:16 PM

But on Oct. 17, 2009, the morning of the concert, she woke up in her parents’ home, where the Metallica tickets hung on the refrigerator. Her mother lent her a favorite metal bracelet and helped her get ready. “Do you think I can dance in these boots, or should I go a little lower?” Gil remembers her asking.

Then they walked out to the driveway, where Morgan got in her car, swiped on some lipstick and said “2-4-1, Mama,” before she pulled away. That’s private Harrington-family code: “I love you too much, forever, and once beyond forever.”
