I respectfully disagree.

On an eposiode of Nancy Grace, Morgan's mother stated that the group of girls that Morgan went to the concert with were "all like sisters" to Morgan. She says they have known each other since high school or before, and were all girls that she was very familiar with, had in her home many times, and would do anything for.

This sounds like more than "companions" to me. To me a companion is someone you are traveling with or hanging out with for a night or an event. A friend is a person you spend time with, share secrets with, trust and care about. Clearly, based on Gil's statements on NG these girls were friends.

What was Ron C famous words??made me think about that ...if there is any hope of getting the truth..mama may feel she is better to not say" Yea, I think it was rotten to leave her too, and what the he-- were you thinking!! I thought you were friends! just my thought that sometimes things are not always as they seem.

Hello everyone! This is my first post, although I have been following the case since the first thread...There is something I have not seen mentioned, and that I find troublesome:

The generous $150,000 reward offered is for "her safe return", according to The Hook and WDBJ7.

I assume this means she needs to be found alive? Is this a good idea? I hate to be indelicate, but shouldn't the money be offered for the arrest and conviction of her abductor, or....

I'd be very interested in knowing your thoughts on this!

The Harrington family is offering a $100,000 reward for the safe return of their daughter, Morgan Harrington, or information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Morgan Harrington's disappearance.
In addition, the band Metallica is offering an additional $50,000 to the reward bringing it to $150,000 for Morgan's safe return or information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Morgan's disappearance.

I've gone to the restroom at concerts by myself tons of times. That doesn't really seem odd, imo. .

I NEVER go specifically with another female, even now at 50 ... just not my thing, and I sure didn't back at the Dead concerts, etc.

I'm with you, MM, but those were different days, I'm afraid. The Buddy System was just for Girl Scout Camp

On the Dr Phil show, her mom says that Morgan is the one who called her girlfriends, not the other way around.. i'm not sure which way is true, did her friends call her? Or did she call her friends? After that call there was some texts according to her mom, some texts sounds plural.. an in more than one text, yet we only hear about the call Morgan made to friends, and a text to a young man..

This one is driving me as mad as the car shenagians. First Morgan called the friend, then the friend called Morgan instead and now (per Mom on Dr. Phil) Morgan called the friend. HOW can this be SO screwy?! :banghead:
If this is how mixed up the LE investigation really is, the family is sunk.

This sounds like more than "companions" to me.

I'd like to throw in my :twocents: as a Mom. My son is 21, and had a few friends that were his whole world from 3 years old and another from 1st grade and 2 more from 3rd grade. As he got older, and especially since he went to college, I kept trying to encourage him to stay in contact with these 'besties,' as I know how easy it is for friends and friendships to slip away. He kept 'trying' - or so I thought. Finally, one at a time, it came out that one boy was doing drugs, one was in trouble with the law, one had changed from a very sweet boy into a rather obnoxious young man, and the other just went weird.

So, as much as I thought all was well with the long-term friendships and kept encouraging them, my son finally laid it all on the line and let me know he was making better choices! I was humbled, saddended, and this makes me realize that Morgan's friends may not have still been what Gil believes them to be. YMMV

Obviously MH and her old high school friends stayed in touch well enough to go to this concert together, and still were close enough for MH to let them drive her car, even when she was locked out she let them have it. Of course they don't hang out like back in high school, but they were still best friends for years in high school so whatever they did or didn't do regarding MH's safety that night after she was locked out probably has little to do with their closeness, or lack thereof, with Morgan. Lack of good judgment and lack of fear of the real world is more like it. Many people in this age group have no fear of dying and do not think about safety even in this day and age.

I don't know if I'd agree with that based mostly on the fact that we know Morgan didn't make it through the whole concert, whereas presumably Dee did. There would have been fewer people in the arena before Metallica came on (lots of people go to shows just for the main band or hang out by the bar or merch stands, or wait around to meet up with other people) and probably less interest in taking pictures of the openers.

I can't remember Dee's last name?

This is the article on Dee S. I thought it might be interesting to read it again. I am going to be looking for a picture now that I have a name.

I was in email contact with her at the start concerning removing the links to her off the HFMDH site. She posted a pic of herself taken at the concert at the time with her boyfriend to prove it was her. I don't think she looks anything like MH close up :)
I would post her FB profile pic for you to see but it's just profile with her boyfriend so you can't tell.

Also with respect to her privacy let's change it to "DS" as posts can be found on here by googling the name

I still find it strange that the guy who accompanied Morgan and her friends hasn't been publicly identified. And if he is in fact a POI, then that would probably explain the friends' silence, seeing how he was/is the boyfriend of one of them.

It's also interesting how the Harrington's so quickly dismissed the person Morgan last texted as being a POI. Could it be that person really is a leading POI, but they and LE don't want to reveal that? Or that this person and the guy are one and the same?

It seemed like from the very beginning they believed she was abducted and had an idea of who did it. It's just strange though that if they did have a prime suspect how they haven't came up with anything in over a month.

Thank you for that suggestion. She has been a hero in all this coming forward right away. I have changed the posting to DS.

Yes I agree with you. I also notice nothing coming from the Harringtons blog along with LE not talking. Lets hope they are close.

OK. So let's pretend that Morgan never made it to the concert. Let's say she and her roommate picked up (I think it was Sara?) .

** Respectfully snipped to save space....

Sadly enough, this scenario is becoming more believable and realistic to me after all this time has gone by. I am still holding out hope that it is not true...but there is nothing solid to go on.

I also agree with Secret Agent Mom... people are losing interest in this case. I know the holidays are coming up...but I don't think we should give up on Morgan. After all, the Harringtons will be missing one huge important piece of their family this year. I wish we could do more. I wish we had more clues...something...anything!! :banghead:

Waddles how do you know DS? Why were you having to remove links off her site?
