GUILTY VA - Morgan Young, 21, shot to death, Chesapeake, 2 Jan 2006

  • #21
Murder is murder. It does not matter what 1 believes, what color their skin is,or what their sex is....Their murder is just as tragic as that of the more "politically correct"victims are.I am a member of the faith and as such have been priveleged to meet and know many of these young men and women who dedicate 2 yrs of their lives to the church and the spreading of our message.I fully agree with Mic,if you don't know them,or have no intrest in meeting them just ignore the doorbell,I can assure you these people are quite used to it and will in no way hassle you.Regardless of their faith tho if you do open the door, and decide its a great day for a murder,I have no problems with someday writing your Gov in support of your execution....Hopefully someday a Gov of Va will recieve such a message from me in regards to this 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

I can not believe what I've read on this thread!!!

What type of person are you that would find ANY humor in a COLD BLOOD MURDER??? :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

EDITED to ADD: I'd rather see these young men on their bikes going door to door witnessing about God than out on some street corner smoking crack or even worse, giving it to YOUR child!

May God Bless the families and friends of these young men.

To add further to my earlier post. These young men were NOT shot on someones porch...they were gunned down in the street.

The attacks happened just after 6 p.m. in the Deep Creek area of the city, police said, when a man approached the two, shot them and ran away.

For those who have abused the practices of the LDS I can only ask...Since when was it illegal or hassling you for young men to walk our streets?I hear all the time about the "rights"of thugs, and how badly we treat them, and how they deserve a "chance"....Are innocent young men to be denied the same "Rights"simply because their faith is different than yours?

TY Anngelique. The link you posted contains much less "vague" information about what happened to these boys.

YW. It seems they witnessed another being shot. The person who shot the other person then shot the missionaries. So it was a couple of thugs.. probably over drugs or gangs or something. Tragic.

These two boys were in the wrong place at the wrong time and I really feel for them and their families.

But I feel utter shame for the posters who posted that they thought these two boys were "deserving" of violence.

Please.........disgusting and shameful. No one no matter whom they are, no one deserves to be a victim of violence because they CHOOSE to do what they want in their own life in regards to their religion.

I am sure the whole attitude of these people would be different if the two boys were Christian.

I read the previous comments at the beginning of this thread in UTTER disbelief. I actually had to re-read the posts as I could not believe what I was reading......still can't.

The truly ironic thing to me is that the people who appear to condone this murder would be screaming from the rooftops if the victims were black or homosexual. I guess Mormons and other religious "fanatics" are fair game.

I believe the word was KARMA for their sin of trying to save lost souls. Yes, they certainly deserved death for that.

well i didnt post that, and the person who did , did not condone at all in their post that they deserved to be shot, in their next post they clarified that....I dont think anybody here disagrees that this is tragic no matter who they are or what color or religion these boys were....

I don't believe anyone actually condones this murder....But the fact remains if this had been a thread about some 18 yr old blonde haired blue eyed girl raped and murered on her way home from the library we would not have been blessed with the "dark humor"...Now would we?

It's not about which faith - Christian missionaries, Jehovah's Witness missionaries, whichever - they're all annoying! Same for all other door to door salemen, except that the religious ones are out there saying you're going to hell because you don't believe like we do, and they're so sure they have the one and only truth that they are persistent and often not willing to take no for an answer - more annoying than someone saying that I need this or that product, telephone service or whatever.

That's got nothing to do with what the thugs do, nor with any sympathy for the murderer in this case.

Not unless there was some irony to it. If so - then yes. Blonde haired, blue eyed girl missionary walking around some neighborhood prosteletizing people for the Christian faith - yes, same humor in that. Same sadness, same humor. The title didn't really even specify - "Missionaries Shot in Virginia" was what I was responding to.

I said it was dark humor, and I do wonder who this mythical poster is who is claiming these boys deserved to be shot, or who is denigrating the mormon church - I haven't seen that poster on this thread yet!

Wow I have been a LDS for 22 yrs now and have never heard a fellow member or a missionary tell anyone they were going to hell for not following our beliefs. And yas I have volunteered to ride the missionaries around on rainy days so I am semi familiar with their standard routines.Actually as I understand the faith mormans do not have or believe in the standard fire and brimstone hell of most other faiths.

But to my main point. Please in 1000 words or less explain the theory that telling someoe to go to hell,or offering to sell them something in some way merits their slaughter. Not that I believe or feel you are advocating this theory yourself, but I would love to hear ya explain it....LOLOr anyone else for that matter.Thanx in advance...I promise to be nice in my replies to any of the requested essays..LOL

Actually, I think saying "go to hell" is far different than saying "I don't want you to go to hell."
