He (and maybe some other people involved) Kills her.

I wonder if the poor girl (RIP) was pretending to be someone else online. Maybe she wanted to pretend she was older and go out with an older boy. That seems more plausible to me than the 18 year old kid trolling for middle school girls, but who knows, maybe he was. Then again, maybe this (if he's guilty) met her and was expecting someone else, but when she wasn't the person he expected to meet, he acted out violently and killed her.

This is many years ago now, but when I was 18 or 19, I started talking to a high school girl online who sent me fake pictures and everything. I went to her house to pick her up one day, and was really not happy to meet someone entirely different than who I was expecting. I thought very quickly on my feet, gave her a confusing story about why I had to go back to my car and I would be right back, and before she made sense of it all, I was driving away as fast as I could and never looked back. Got some desperate and heartbroken emails or instant messages shortly thereafter, but she did lie to me after all.

Not saying that's what happened here, but it's possible. Just speculating.

I can't say that is what she did, but she was on a couple teen dating sites on FB and there were older men talking inappropriately to her and she kept talking to them. At one point she said she wanted to shoot herself. I think this young girl was in over her head. The site I seen was terrible, and on the verge of pornographic. I reported to FB. There were adult men saying that they would well for lack of better wording and using their words, rape. The admin of the page is in over his head. There are obviously pedophiles on that site. I hope the police clean house.

Yeah could be. I think that I seen something about mom and dad were paying for his gas "so far" didn't know how long. But I think like you that there were more people involved.

In the comments on that video, there is someone who posted about him getting bad grades and being a phony in high school. That comment was 10 months ago, when this kid was anonymous, so it's more than likely true. Doesn't seem to be very intelligent, thankfully.

they have said her phone was off since she first went missing. Then someone turned it on and back off. SO that is interesting

I watched most of the press conference and he did not confess.They did say social media played a big part in finding Nicole and leading to an arrest.Facebook needs to start deleting some of these websites for teens meeting.There are so many perps with fake profiles.This is just a breeding ground for danger.This man David was on the news before,he sounded very arrogant to me.

Watching this video I just can't wrap my mind around what the h happened to this guy? Why would he throw his future away, his dreams? And I wonder how the people who praised him so much that time and were so proud of him feel now. They must so shocked.

Did he snap? Did he push himself too much? Or was he not good enough in his mind, secretly hating himself and needed an outlet for those dark emotions.

After seeing this, I get the feeling he is the type of person that would never believe he could do wrong. Can't see him confessing at this point. If police got their information from cell phone pings then he's definitely not as smart as he apparently thinks he is.

I read where she accepted a phone call from one of the men, and that nude pictures were being exchanged. She was living with her grandfather, mother and uncle when this happened. My first inclination was she was going to her father in another county. I think she didn't think anything would happen to her and that she would be right back that night hence she didn't take her medicine with her. She knew how important this med was

By the way, 13 year old kids do stupid things and make mistakes. 18 year old "kids" do stupid things and make mistakes. Most of us are lucky enough to grow up and learn from our mistakes and overcome them. Taking the life of an innocent girl and murdering her is something that can never be taken back. Ever. Just heartbreaking and such a disgusting act. Hopefully this killer spends the rest of his life behind bars.

I doubt he ever had her at his dorm. I worked at that university for 11 years and they just renovated that dorm. Its a large dorm but I seriously doubt that he would take a 13 year old girl there. I dont think he acted alone. By now you have heard that they have found her body just inside of Surry NC. The VSP and NSP worked together and the VSP found her. They are saying he has a charge of 1st degree murder now, he has lawyer-ed up, and refuses to cooperate. He did NOT tell them where her body was. SO in order for them to know I would think that someone is singing...like a canary. Seems like Virginia Tech cannot get away from these murders and crimes. I was working there when four of them occurred. The policeman on the bike trail, the guy that shot all those students, the police officer being executed while sitting in his car (from behind) and that guy that decapitated another student because she didn't return his love interest. I left there this year... but this is now a stain on the community yet again from Virginia Tech student body. So sad

Let me recount the number of murders, seems I left two out. The two lovers that were shot and killed at Caldwell Fields .. too many if you ask me. They NEVER solved those murders

I just now found out about her being found. I just feel so heartbroken for her family and all that has been involved searching for her.
As far as what lead to this I believe that it will be connected to online activity. I just wonder which fake profile was his? There were several on the fb group that was posting to her that you could see right through but a child wouldn't.
I am not a violent person I have trouble raising my voice without upsetting myself but this makes me want to make my own fake profile and lure those monsters right up to my door and instead of Chris Hansen on the other side it would be a little 5 foot 1 inch mad momma with a loaded shotgun!

I can't help but think it was that one that his name is greyed out and he had a mask over his face...I think his name was "Mann" Jacob or something like that. said he was dead inside...etc.etc...

seems to be ignored. I just checked. There are new posts on there were someone posted and then some girl says she is 14 and some man is talking to her. Auugh

Anyone can make negative remarks about a person.

College athletics always has a little question mark on the athletes and the grades. He was a star athlete that any school would be happy to have. However, to be accepted into the engineering program is another matter. If he had low grades, he would not be in that program. It is a difficult program and takes brains.

I read 1 thread she was involved in, and that was too much. And I'm 51. At this age, I've seen it all (or at least heard of it all) and that single thread made me want to slap all kinds of people (teens and parents alike).

My youngest turns 13 in a few months and she's in an entirely different universe than Nichole was (she's into community theater, swimming, fiction series about cats, still thinks make-up is stupid and uses IG for funny memes - that usually include Sponge Bob) and let me just say, I'm SO thankful.

I have seen the same page you are all talking about on facebook and it made me sick.The fact is these teens don't have a clue who they are talking to,the pictures they post of themselves could be someone else.They judge each other on how they look.Cute or not? I know they are preying on the vulnerable ones too.There was a group page on FB I visited too and saw an old man in just his underwear,posting pics of young Asian girls and labeling them as sexy.This just made me ill.I will never understand why this is allowed to happen.I never joined this group,just picked out a profile and checked it out.He also had likes that were from men out of the country.I got off of there in a jiffy.

Just my theory here but I feel like this little girl was playing big girl online and all is good behind the screen she can say whatever and pretend to be older who's gonna know right? Especially if she is talking to strangers that don't know anything about her. Probably was exciting to her because it's something that she knows she shouldn't be doing and she is at the age where us girls start to go through changes and feelings that are new and feeling outta sorts, so online she may have found a way to express some of those new feelings. I want to think she never had been involved with a boy physically in a more "serious" way.
Now with all these new feelings going on and she is the age where we start crushing hard on boys, I imagine that it didn't take too long for her to be head over heels in love with him and willing to sneak out to ride around or hang out with him.
Now if that happened like that just saying, I could see him going to get her thinking she has did this or that before from the way she talked online, and he was thinking they were meeting for sex, when it came down to it is it possible she turned back into that little girl and it was not what she thought it was gonna be and didn't want to? If so he could have at that point forced himself on her and then afterwards thinking more clearly now what he stood to lose if she told and he just freaked out and killed her.
Sorry but he is not a looker and even being a athlete has no stud appeal at all, I could see him being a loner and not really having the personality to attract girls his age, so online he can feel more dominate and in control talking to a younger girl that won't think he is strange. He could have very well confided in someone he thought he could trust afterwards to get it off his chest but I don't think there is anyone else involved physically.
