Well, I can't go back through 64 pages of discussion so hope I'm not repeating.

As for Keepers mugshot, I initially thought that was hair on her left cheek but now think it looks more like a cut:

Assuming DE and NK are a couple (or even just good friends), it's hard to imagine he'd abduct and kill a child and then turn to her for help. Who does such a thing? Who the heck would help?! It would seem more likely that NK was more involved than just after-the-fact. Then there's his statement about the truth setting him free which makes one wonder a bit.

Apparently DE did have a car because the charging documents said he didn't know if he owned it or not, suggesting it might have been in a parent's name. So, it would seem he didn't need NK just for her car. Plus, if he'd picked up Nicole, he obviously had a vehicle. So, why involve NK at all? Who would be so stupid unless the other person was more involved?

Google Maps puts the distance from Blacksburg to Low Gap (body site) at 85 miles, one way (but they'd likely have taken the 91 mile route). Even if they knew exactly where they were going, that's a pretty long round-trip to pull on a weeknight with classes and returning to dorm rooms. Both suspects apparently lived in dorms (a news story said he did and her address on charging docs gives a dorm, too). This also raises the question of crime location. They wouldn't have taken the child to their dorms.

I apologize for how generic this comment is, but this case just keeps getting weirder. I have many theories about what may have been transpired, and then a bunch of reasons for why each one is not probable.

They may not have the date of death determined yet. If so, the date is listed as the date her body was located. Good enough for preliminary charging docs. Since he isn't talking and ME is performing autopsy, that may be all that date means on the docs.

It wouldn't surprise me if the murder charge flows from the perp's preventing the victim from leaving, which, without her twice daily medication, eventually caused her death. IOW, it's possible he didn't physically harm her at all but is still fully culpable. The female perp's late arrival to help deal with the dead body suggests her male friend told her a quasi-sympathetic story to explain what happened along the line of "I panicked, didn't know what to do, and then she just died on me."

I will have to to talk to my mom about meds, I don't know if heart transplant and liver is the same meds, but my dad had heart transplant in 1995. he takes cyclesporn twice a day 8am and 8 pm , yes, I think more the first year or so couple of days might be fatal, but she had the transplant 5 years ago. I know my dad has been a few hours late taking it but i don't think my mom would ever have let him go 2 days. i will see if the doctors every told them what would happen if he didn't take it for 2 days. I called my mom, she said she would not want to find out what happend if he didnt take it, he takes it.
every so often, you have to have a bysopy done to see what the rejection number is, they up or lower the meds. we dont know when her last test was. My dad meds have stayed the same for a long long time. I guess we will just have to wait to for the autopsy

I looked through their Facebook and Instagram accounts but never could find any mention of each other. She had a couple of posts about being out with "bae" but no name or tag for him. It could be they attempted to delete all mentions of each other before the arrests, though. It really is surprising the media hasn't tracked down somebody that knew them since high school.

No, the wording was "on or about" the 30th. It's likely they have not yet narrowed the time of death, and are using this phrasing as a placeholder for an actual time/date. She *did* die between going missing on the 27th and being found on the 30th, and this is really all that's being stated at this point.

ITA! I have seen MEs in other murder cases put down the DOD as the day the victim's body was found. I don't think she was alive for a couple of days. I think for now it is a tentative date. If the ME doesn't find any stomach contents when he/she does the autopsy the date of 'on or about' when she was found will probably stand. I have seen this happen even when the victim had been missing for many months before being found dead and the date found was the 'on or about' date listed in the documents. Some MEs will expand the time line from when they went missing until they were found. In other words sometime in that time range. The cases where the TOD/DOD is expanded greatly is where the victim's body was grossly decomposed or skeletonized when found.

For now they know for certain she was dead on the 30th so that is what they are going by.

As an aside: I think they may be looking for a bludgeoning object or possible a ligature like a rope or belt or zip ties. And he most likely tossed her phone in the same area.

I also imagine they are going to put the most heat on Keepers hoping she will tell all she knows. They can legally lie to her by telling her she too could be looking at a murder charge. Heck the investigation is just getting started. Who knows, Keepers could be more involved than just after the crime offenses. It certainly wouldn't be the first time.

It just shows how wickedness can overcome any goodness the murderer may have had. I found him very arrogant and cocky in the video. At times people like that believe they are entitled to do whatever they wish to do and no one else matters. I would like to see his family background to see whether he was coddled and spoiled with a 'ME, ME, ME" type of narcissistic personality.

While I know he can be charged with first degree because he was committing felony abduction when she was killed but for some reason I think LE has evidence showing this was all a setup and he premeditated the murder.

I'm trying to figure out why in the world NK would help dispose of a deceased child.

Maybe, just maybe, she didn't realize what she was "disposing." Could he have lied and told her he had stolen goods in a bag that he needed to ditch, and she never looked in the bag but simply went with him to hide the goods??

Just brainstorming while we await more details. Whatever the case, I hope NK is being honest and truthful right now.

I assume you mean NK and DE. They did go to different high schools but a bit under 20 miles apart. So, it's possible they could have known each other before moving the Blacksburg. I'm guessing they met through some engineering student event and bonded due to their Maryland backgrounds.
