How terribly sad..

Is it possible that Nicole was talking online to Keepers boyfriend and this was a planned retaliation?

RIP Nicole

People continue to make me sick. So so so sad.

Virginia Tech student, Natalie Keepers, is now charged with accessory before the fact to willfully, deliberately, and with premeditation kill and murder Nicole Lovell in the 1st degree. The 19-year-old is still charged with unlawful disposal of a body. If convicted, Keepers faces 20 years to life in prison.

The charges against 18-year-old David Eisenhauer remain the same. He’s charged with 1st degree murder and abduction.

So it sounds like in early/mid January...these two planned the murder. But he is the one who physically committed it. And then she helped dispose of the body.

At least that's what I'm getting. Which means one or both of them must be talking. And LE must believe what they are saying.

I wonder if there is some other indicator that he was the one who actually did the stabbing.

I'm surprised NK was strong enough to dispose of the body.

I don't know what Keepers is saying, but Eisenhauer said something to the effect that the truth shall set him free ... could be he's going to blame Keepers as the mastermind of this evil deed.

Nicole's mother, Tammy Weeks, also spoke, describing the health problems her daughter battled and the joys in her short life.

"Her favorite color was blue. Nicole was a very lovable person. Nicole touched many people throughout her short life," Weeks read from a statement. Her cries grew, and an official ushered her away.

Nicole bore emotional and physical wounds as a young teen, suffering from bullying at school and online over her weight and a tracheotomy scar, her mother has said. She needed daily medication after a liver transplant, and also survived lymphoma and a drug-resistant bacterial infection (MRSA).

omg when NL's mom was reading her statement at the news conference! Her voice starts to shake and she's visibly struggling but tries to go on, talking about Nicole. Gets almost to the end and starts shaking all over, breaks down & says "I can't do this next part" and her pastor finishes for her. She's clutching the stuffed panda the whole time. Absolutely heartrending.

MontCo prosecutor Mary Pettit says initial cause of #NicoleLovell's death is stabbing. Source tells me divers searching VT pond for knife.

WOW. I hadn't checked the forum all day and it looks like a lot of information has come in! I am saddened to know that this crime was a stabbing. That just sounds so brutal and terrible. And pre-planned.

More about Kik:

Police told Nicole’s mom, Tammy Weeks, that they believe the sweet-faced teen met Eisenhauer online.

The details of that are still unclear. But here’s what we do know for sure: Nicole led an active, imaginary life online, meeting people on Kik, a messaging app that has been the bane of law enforcement officials these past couple years.

The app grants users anonymity, it allows searches by age and lets users send photos that aren’t stored on phones.

It’s popular with tweens and teens — and predators.

“Unfortunately, we see it every day,” said Lt. James Bacon, head of the child exploitation unit with the Fairfax County Police.

That unit caught a State Department senior counterterrorism official, Daniel Rosen, trying to arrange a tryst with a child using Kik. He pleaded guilty to a handful of stalking and voyeurism and is now serving a 32-month prison sentence. And he hasn’t been the only one using this app to hunt victims.

I hate to burst his bubble, but no matter whose bright idea it was, if he picked up a 13 yr old in the middle of the night and she ended up buried in the woods, he is going to prison for a very long time.
