Thread is temporarily closed for clean up.

DO NOT link to ANY site or social media page with explicit sexual content.

Thank you bessie. I wanted to boil my eyes in bleach. I should have known better :(

For those who wonder - no - that garbage ISN'T allowed on twitter but it's not removed unless someone reports it. The vast majority of people viewing that crap are enjoying it, NOT reporting it.

OMG just coming back and reading about the new developments. Absolutely shocked! Poor poor Nicole!

So it was a Leopold and Loeb scenario after all it seems, as someone suggested already in thread1?

Going back now to catch up.

Poor poor Nicole! May she be in peace now.

Off-topic but I didn't even know what KIK was only to come to find out it was made and developed in my city!
Sorry. Had to share!

My oldest is heavily involved in the IT business in KW so I've known about kik for a long time. It's a horrible app and the most ironic thing is, they even have a direct link for LE right on their front page https://kiklawenforcement.zendesk.com/hc/en-us it's designed for LE officers to navigate through kik while investigating but PARENTS should check out the video "navigating".

She even mentioned him by name. She must have been really excited to have told the 8 year girls about this.:(

"Stacy Snider, a neighbor whose 8-year-old twins played with Nicole, told The Associated Press that before she vanished, Nicole showed her girls Eisenhauer’s picture along with a thread of texts they had shared and said she would be sneaking out to meet him.

“She was talking about this boyfriend she had that was 18 and went to college, and his name was David. And showed some text messages off of a Kik and pictures. And that’s what the girls told the police officers when they asked.”

Snider said she learned all this from her girls only after Nicole vanished. “I would have told her mother. But we didn’t know nothing about it until she came up missing, unfortunately,” she said."

Just caught up with the thread.

Tears.

Dear Coley, I'm so sorry you experienced such meanness from others.

Heartbreaking that Nicole suffered so much in her short life, and was bullied, and went to meet DE full of hope of making a friend or boyfriend, and those two bastards were just waiting to stab her to death for fun. I'd give them solitary confinement for the rest of their lives if it were up to me.

Does anyone know if I have this right...?

The only way NK can be charged with accessory, both before and after the fact, but not be charged with murder is if...
A) she knew about his plans before they happened &/or encouraged him to commit the crime
B) she also helped DE avoid detection, evade LE, &/or hid evidence, etc.
BUT
C) she was not present during the actual crime?

Question, can one be charged as an accessory even if they are present, but did not do the stabbing itself?

Eta: I think it's been alluded to in the charges that she helped the planning or whatever, but just wondering, if she was there, but didn't commit the actual murder, if her charge would be an accessory or what.

Eta: so, it has been established that she was definitely not present during the actual murder?

The murderers came from more privileged backgrounds than Nicole and her family, but their lives were worth no more. I just want to praise LE for giving Nicole and her mother and her family justice which sometimes eludes the less fortunate. Now, the prosecution and the jury better finish the job.

This, times ten.

Is it just me, her voice and/or speech makes me think of a person who is impaired in someway.

I'm looking for a link but can't find it yet. Can someone please bring it forward, tia.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, still catching up.

I understand it that DE has NOT been charged with disposal of a body, but NK has been. So she went alone to dispose of her body, I take it?

A. aids and abets (or counsels or procures) or encourages
B. is not present during the actual crime
C. aids and abets after the crime - with knowledge of the crime - with the intent to help the person avoid arrest

The plan could have been his and she encouraged it, or it could have been HERS all along and he went along with it. Either way, she wasn't there but knew he did it and helped him in a lame attempt to cover it up.

No, I think it has to be not present at the scene of the crime during the commission of.

.

That's the way it sounds to me (but I could be wrong). However, I believe I saw up thread that the area where Nicole was found wasn't too far from land DE's grandparents own? I wonder if that's where NK was heading (grandparents' property), thinking Nicole would be less likely to be found on private property, but got lost so she had to find an alternative location. Just speculating....

Can you imagine being the roommate of one of these two? They're lucky to be alive!!

I read a comment in the news that a classmate said it could have easily been her! Can't you imagine the horror of this reality? :(

Dear Coley, I'm so sorry you experienced such meanness from others.

Me too I saw the segment about the case on Greta's show On the Record on Fox News and it was heartbreaking what Nicole went through in her 13 short years. It's hard enough having major health problems as an adult never mind as child and later as a young teen. Then Nicole was bullied relentlessly for being different due to health issues. Shame on the kids who bullied Nicole I hope they feel terrible and change their ways after what has happened. More needs to be done to stop this too many children and teens are suffering bullies every day and now being online the bullying doesn't stop at the end of the school day.

It's horrific how Nicole's life was brutally ended and I hope and pray the judge and jury give them the max when it's time. These two are clearly dangerous and should never be allowed out again.

It was upsetting seeing Nicole's mom heartbroken on Greta I hope and pray she gets all the emotional and other support she needs to grieve going forward.

As a school administrator, I have seen so many students and parents say that it would be impossible for the child to duped or catfishes, despite all of the evidence that many teens just don't have the ability to discern. Each year we do internet safety---the scare you to death approach, the psychodynamic approach, the we are your ally approach, you name it. At the end of the day, I have guided my fair share of parents --"Keep your kid off the internet, keep your kid busy, and get the phone from them each night with the knowledge that you are going through it." --- to be uber-alert and take the bull by the horns. It is just not advice listened to. Too many adolescents can only be stars in their online realm and that is one scary place to be meteoric.

I know someone who has an older child, and I thought what they did was ingenious. Before they gave the phone to their kid they programmed their fingerprint in it, but gave it to them without telling them. The kid knew he would have to hand in the phone at night but thought he had it password protected. Boy was he surprised when his mom found some of his activities out. She never told him how she got into his phone but he does believe her to be some mega spy of sorts. Now he has a "jitterbug" type phone LOL. I think that is a great method, because while it might tread onto trust issues, if they know you are going to go through the phone they will just delete it!
