I guess the girl didn't realize they were connected.

There are two Noah facebook pages. Can someone clear up which is the correct one? It seems one was made by a family friend with permission from the parents (Help Find Missing Noah Thomas) and the other one I'm unsure of.

Strangely enough, it isn't Standard Operating Procedure to go over the home like you want to believe. No luminol and no in depth searches without a warrant will be conducted. A simple walk through was probably done, if that. LE needs Probable Cause in order to search the house and without signs of foul play...hard to get at this point...imo.

Do we have a location of the father's work address? A 5 year old boy taking off early in the morning could be hungry and wanting to find his dad perhaps. So far, we have no reason to suspect the parents to my knowledge. A child this age can travel a great distance (miles) easily.

When you consider that MOST missing child cases of children this age are solved very very quickly - within an hour or so of the child reported missing, it makes sense not to come in with luminol in the first several hours. Resources are needed at that time to do the ground searching and checking friend's homes. I don't know what percentage of elementary age kids reported missing within an hour of being missing are found - but the percentage is very high.

Thank you all for this. I didn't know it wasn't SOP. I assumed they checked for recently cleaned area or for stains suspicious for blood and tested it when they went through the house if anything stood out. I obviously watch too much tv. Really appreciate the responses as I learn something every day on here.

They keep their eyes open while interviewing the family and if they see any signs of those things...they will ask for a search warrant to investigate further.

I'm closing this thread for ten minutes or so to review it.

I'm going to re-open the thread now. Once again, leave the Facebook rumors on Facebook. And if you are sleuthing family members, you CANNOT post about it here.

I also found baiting posts in the thread, statements like, "...that's all I can say". Baiting is against the rules. If you can't say it, then DON'T!

What LE is saying is that they have no evidence to connect the two cases together.

I can't get past the pond. Little guys love water usually. Hoping it gets 110% cleared soon.

Agree. And he had on boots which would fill with water:(

Whenever there is a case that is going on longer than you would like and has so many options of things that happened, I do a quick rundown of probability. Things do happen in life. They rarely happen two at a time. For example, a child might get out the house- he might return, he might be found, he might have had an accident. A child might be kidnapped- usually from someone breaking in and taking them, taking them from the play area, etc. Very rarely do you see 2 very extreme things happening together--- a child who is not known to wander leaves the house unattended and then, by chance, gets kidnapped along the way. To me, that is the least likely scenario. I know its possible, just not probable.

So, then what does that leave? He went out on his own, wandered and was lost or hurt. He was lured out by a friend or a neighbor or someone he knows. He never made it home from the dad drop off. He never ever made it to the dad drop off. Someone broke in and took him (very unlikely that someone would be able to know that 9am would be a good time to find an unattended child inside, so I think this is not very probable).

The fact that the police are saying his disappearance and the attempted abduction from a couple of years ago are unrelated worries me. I think they are leaning against a stranger abduction and probably have reason to do so.

I just want him found. I keep telling my little boy I love him, with every post I read. I would die. Really. If anything were to happen to him, they can just take me, too.

Nancy Grace covered this tonight............still searching

I just watched it. Is it just me or did she seem a bit more concerned about the other 10 year that's missing. Talking about how beautiful he is and what a beautiful smile. Maybe it's just cause she's not one of my favorite people. JMO
