Your post at the beginning of the thread has haunted me since I read it. You posted that he was in water. You were right. When I came on this afternoon and saw that he had been found dead and where, all this made perfect sense in a way. I really appreciated your clueing me in as I didn't think about how kids love to play in the creek or throw stones in a fountain in the mall. You helped soften the news today. Thank you for your wisdom. Sincerely meant.

I do not believe that Noah crawled into that tank himself. I do know that some kids have done that. And I believe a toddler or immature 5 yr old would, sadly enough. But I don't believe that Noah did so. JMO

So that leaves random abductor, neighbor/friend, or family. I don't believe a random stranger would put him so close to home. But a friend or neighbor might, to cast suspicion at home. Or someone in the home might, out of desperation. :cry:

I am trying to keep an open mind to the possibility it was an accidental drowning since no one has been arrested. It is difficult because it does make more logical sense someone placed him in there in order to hide his body.

I am relatively sure they will offer some preliminary autopsy results, but I am not expecting anything other than the Manner Of Death not Cause Of Death. I think they will wait the full 7-8 weeks for the tox screen results.

The autopsy will tell the tale and we should know soon. There will be water in the lungs if little Noah drowned. (as you already know)

His jacket was the bulky type, so that would most likely have hampered any movement. It would also not be impossible for his jacket to have come up over his face and arms when falling, especially if in water or liquid.

At any rate, we will know soon. I just have to hope poor Noah was already gone when he went into the septic tank because of the absolutely horrific death otherwise. I may be FOS, but if he had to die I hope it was a 'soft kill'.

Also the question is: who covered the lid to the septic tank after Noah fell in ? -not Noah.
If the lid to the septic tank was not covered and Noah fell in they would have seen it in the yard during the search and found him a lot sooner..

I'm reading back through thread 1, it's so hard reading how hard everyone is trying to determine where Noah could have gone, knowing now he was dead before the thread was even started. Before 911 was ever called, this little baby was dead. Accident or intentional, nothing we could have done could have changed this outcome. It's heart wrenching.

I'm heartbroken by the news of Noah's body being found. It has consumed my thoughts all night, and I can't imagine what his family, friends, teachers and all those who knew and loved him must be feeling. Rest peacefully Noah. Fly with the angels.

With that said, and granted I don't know much (if anything) about septic systems but I can't help but try to shake the feeling that this wasn't an accident. However, I think it is possible that a neighbor, or even a stranger is involved and saw the opportunity to hide Noah's body on the property as a way to frame the parents..especially if the perp could see mom sleeping when they came to the door (assuming they did, and Noah answered).

I just can't see a 5 year old opening the door, going outside and heading into the septic tank that has likely been on their property the entire time they lived there so it wouldn't be a "new and exciting" thing for him to explore. If a 5 year old is going to wander outside I just can't see the septic tank being anything of fascination to a child that age.. Toddler maybe. Child, no.

Whatever happened is heartbreaking and sad.

I don't remember Noah's exact birth date, but he was getting close to 6. He was in kindergarten. You still keep an eye on kids that age, but it's not unreasonable to expect them to watch tv for a bit while you do something else. My guess is that she didn't intend to sleep more than about 30 minutes, if that. She was probably expecting the baby to wake up at any moment.

I am all about parental accountability, and have some major issues with kids being killed due to their parents' negligence (Jenise Wright, for example), but I also think there are some things that are reasonable. If she'd left him outside to play and then took a nap, that would be inexcusable. But at that age, inside the house, with rules explained and assuming he was known to usually follow them, I don't think she was being a bad mother. I'm also assuming it was a rare occurrence. I napped when my kids were that age, but I did make them stay in the same room with me because I never slept so deeply that I couldn't hear the bedroom door open, so I felt like there was still some level of supervision.

Of course, this is all assuming the truth was told and she was actually taking a nap.

I am not saying I think he crawled in, but it is possible for a child to *fall* in to a septic tank and it *does* happen.

I keep thinking back to Isaiah Theis because that was such freak accident - LE did not check the car trunk right away because they did not have a key --then Isaiah was found later in it...

So maybe sometimes the strangest things can occur when tragedy happens and maybe LE did not check the septic tank right away because it was secured? - just guessing..

yes-there is always that possibility.......only LE can determine the probability and the odds and must match the timeline

Such a darling, innocent child. I hope none of the rumors are true, and yet the thought of accidentally falling into a sewer and drowning is just as heartbreaking. Gosh this sucks!!!!

I was with my Dad today when I heard the news. We both sat crying. My Dad is dying. Yet as he said, he has had the chance to live, to have kids, grandkids, and watch them grow up. Little Noah didn't even get to grow up. Totally sucks. So unfair!!
