My question is if the septic tank was open, and unsecure, did it take so long for everyone to find Noah?? It seems if that were the case, one of the first places searched would be the septic tank, but if I recall it was a few days before they found him. That's what is confusing me.

Am I the only one who thinks this is exactly as reported? That the mom took Noah to drop off the dad, came back home, went to sleep for 2.5 hours, and woke up and didn't know where he was but sadly he accidentally fell into the septic tank and drowned.

The large numbers of people who have fallen into septic tanks and drowned makes this very very believable to me.

A woman who was retired LE posted on the FB page and said if they had credible evidence that someone did this they would be in custody, period.

I checked her page and it did look like she had been in LE.

if they're gathering more info or trying to coax a confession, I disagree. they said there's no danger to other children in the area. so that would leave two categories of suspects IMO, parents or a juvenile.

Except if it's a juvenile on the loose tossing kids in septic tanks, the public is VERY much at risk.

Does anyone know how long warrants can remained sealed? Is it indefinitely? Does it depend on the situation? When can people start asking for them to be released through freedom of information? I'm assuming they can keep them sealed so long as the investigation is active, but not forever...right?

Rachel Shoaf (17) confessed to killing Skylar Neese (16) but was allowed to roam free for 4 months after confessing while authorities were building a case against Skylar's other killer. She even went on a vacation with her mother before she had to turn herself in. It's ridiculous but it does happen sometimes.

That's a good guess. But maybe not. Just the way we say if cars were on the property they would have searched them. Doesn't always happen. Especially given the fact that none of the dogs tracked to the septic tank.

I'm leaning towards this also. Could be LE is not releasing COD because they didn't find him sooner and are in CYA mode. IMO.

If there was a child who put him into the septic tank, it's still true that the septic tank was unsecured. Before and after Noah was thrown in there.

But they said they looked in there prior to getting the tip. My guess is the lid was secured, no visible sign of Noah, so they moved on. If lid was ajar, or looked disturbed...I find it hard to believe any LE would not drain it. If not, reallyly bad mistake, Imo.

Also...is it possible he was put in after that initial viewing of the tank? Unlikely as I doubt all LE ever left the premises.

Some LE's are really open - I sense this one is extremely tight-lipped for no real reason to be that way. Early on when it seemed very very likely this little one was wandering out there on the property, his press conferences gave away zero information. The press conference where he said anything at all was to go on and on and on about how Pulaski county has the best people in the world.

Nothing at all about this child, the search. He also thanked agencies that searched profusely in a press conference. This is a sheriff who just doesn't share information with the public, IMHO. He has repeatedly stressed that the parents are being fully cooperative, though.

I am guessing that if child was removed, it is either due to it not being an accident, or a precaution if they are as yet uncertain. Only a clear accident would not involve the other child, Imo.

But, realistically, if septic tanks were THAT easy to just fall into and die, they'd be outlawed or have super heavy restrictions on them, right? (And I'm assuming they do have heavy restrictions on them).

And, alternatively, if a septic tank lid was faulty enough to allow someone to fall in and die....it would be pretty obvious from the outset that the septic tank had a faulty/broken lid and LE should look there.

Can anyone point to any cases where an accidental death happened in a septic tank where it was not at all obvious (i.e. broken/cracked/missing lid?)

Are there warrants in Noah 's case? I read at one point that they didn't need a warrant to search the family home cuz the parents gave permission (sorry no link for this handy).
