Hi I know Dublin is small. I am from rural new Brunswick. All kids leave their toys and and bikes out. Did he ride his that morning? If not why not? Sorry I was being cryptic I guess.

As I said, I was just using that post as an example! I'm sorry! (It was just the most convenient one as it was fresh and handy!) I don't think they have said anything as to whether he was out on his bike that day or not. I don't recall it being brought up anywhere. I think I see what you're saying/asking now, though. I would hope that when his mother noticed him missing and she initially looked for him that she would notice if his bike was not where it normally is stored or looked out of place, etc. I would also hope that LE might ask her that. But I don't recall seeing anything in any of the articles, etc.

Thinking of Noah in a blue casket is ripping my heart out. He should be excited for the Easter Bunny and riding his bike. Having a son the same age with similar intrests makes this very hard to bear. At 5 they believe if something goes wrong Spiderman really will save the day and Noah had no Spiderman. I just can't take it

  • #763
Huh? I think that there were many that expected that they might not attend given their private nature while he was missing but I don't recall seeing anyone hoping that they wouldn't attend.

That is not what I meant, however I'm sure don't know everything that has been posted considering how many horrible things have been deleted.

I have seen this reference to 'waiting on toxicology reports' before COD will be released but I haven't once seen where police or MSM have reported that toxicology texts are being awaited. I must have missed this, could you please provide a link? TY!
I don't have a link and the Sheriff did not specify. I have been doing this a very, very long time and was reading between the lines. The toxicology screens take the longest of any testing and can't be rushed which is often frustrating, as in this case. When LE states they are waiting an extended period of time for test results to determine COD, I am 99.9% positive those tests are tox screens. DNA testing and other testing can be finished in days not weeks. I don't know of any kind of testing besides toxicology which would stop an investigation in its' tracks until they are returned either. They are the last tests completed for the final autopsy report to my knowledge .

I am relying on many years of experience in dealing with these cases, but it is my own opinion and I should have stated it as such. My fault. Sorry!

This explains it much better:

What is an autopsy?

Autopsies are the ultimate quality assurance studies available to the practice of medicine. Their purpose is to improve the quality of care that we can provide. Numerous studies over the past 30 years have shown that unexpected findings occur in about 20 percent of cases and that clinicians cannot accurately predict which cases hold the unexpected results.

Hospital Autopsy: Often referred to as post-mortem examinations or necropsy, hospital autopsies, in contrast to forensic autopsies, include external and internal examinations that are performed after death, using surgical techniques. Their goal is to answer specific questions and identify diseases or problems related to a patient's death.

The examination is performed by a pathologist who is a medical physician that is specifically trained to recognize disease processes. The training also includes integrating the autopsy findings with the clinical history to clarify questions asked by attending physicians. Under certain circumstances, an autopsy may be limited to specific sites or for a specific purpose.

Forensic Autopsy: Forensic autopsies differ from hospital autopsies in their objectives and relationships. In addition to determining a person's cause of death, if possible, forensic pathologists must establish the manner of death (e.g., natural, accident, suicide or homicide) and identity of the decedent (if not known), as well as the decedent's time of death and/or injury. Evidence collected from the body may prove or disprove a person's guilt or innocence. The autopsy also involves evaluating the scene, clothing and toxicology.

How long does an autopsy typically take from start to finish?

Autopsies are performed with 24 hours of death and are scheduled as soon as completed Autopsy Permission and Request Forms, in addition to patients' clinical records, are available and reviewed at the University of Florida Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine. The initial examination takes between two and four hours and depends on the complexity of the disease processes, any limitations to the autopsy, and the goal of the autopsy. Additional studies may involve pathologists examining slides of any diseased tissue and evaluating any microbiological and toxicological tests.

When are final autopsy reports ready for review?

Preliminary autopsy reports are usually available on the next working day. Final autopsy reports are ready between 30 and 45 days later. Complex cases may take up to 90 days before a final report is complete.

I used to come on this site a long time ago when Casey Anthony was on trial. Also, followed the Haleigh Cummings case. I just never posted. Lurked from afar. I am curious why you all are straying away from the parents being capable? Do you believe it could be possible that maybe Noah could have accidentally ate something (medication, drugs) that he shouldn't have and the parents were hoping he could sleep it off, rather than taking him to the hospital so they wouldn't get into trouble, and the unfortunate happened? I am just throwing this scenario out there. I haven't been through all the posts so maybe someone else has brought this up. idk?

Are we just assuming the parents are low income because they rented a mobile home and both worked? The reason I ask is because both of my kids lived in inexpensive rentals for years while they saved up huge down payments for their first homes. They saved on their utilities, no property taxes, no home maintenance costs and they liked the location, neighbors and school district their kids were in. I suppose some would think they were low income but they were far from it.

That is a very fair point. I would love to be proven wrong on that point! (I love hearing of people who are willing to make smart sacrifices to scrape things together for themselves such as your kids!)

But the rest of the factors, working evenings or nights with two young kids, etc are still factors.

TOS state the the parents are victims until LE says otherwise.

ETA: Someone is going to come along very quickly and point out the irony of me being the one to answer that, lol.

My first clue would be mom took dad to work at 7:00am on Sunday morning with a new baby and a 5 year old. If they could afford two cars, it would be a huge improvement for mom's situation and one I would have to think dad would want for his family.

I don't believe this couple had money rolling in and lived this lifestyle on purpose, but that is only my opinion. By the way, they needed help to bury little Noah so it even makes it more evident they are not flush with cash.

I don't disagree with your line of thinking but I wonder if both parents were licensed drivers.

Much to the dismay of the FB trolls.

I stopped following cases on FB a long time ago because it was filled with horrible nasty commenters about every case.

But who in the world would believe Noah's parents wouldn't attend his funeral? Where did that notion come from and based on what since you say you have read it, SStarr? TIA

That never crossed my mind ............not even once this entire time. I felt 100% sure they would both be there.

Completely hypothetical question after seeing the crime victim's compensation fund mentioned on the FB page -

If one parent harms a child (think of the recent mommy bloggers gone wrong) but the other is not involved in any way would the innocent parent be eligible for help from the fund?

I am not familiar with Virginia's fund but I worked in a program that had to apply and vet potential recipients for a similar federal fund. The other parent would be eligible (and that was actually who I primarily helped) but there were very strict stipulations including no contact orders, etc.

Not everyone is straying. Any scenario of something unfortunate happened should lead to the authorities being summoned. We all watch Law & Order, and like someone said earlier in the thread, if you hide a body, you've got something to hide. What we're all waiting for is the final announcement that tells us whether he fell in that tank or someone put him in that tank. THEN we can talk about who to blame, and for what. There's nothing "unfortunate' about hiding a body.

Looks like the answer is, "yes" with specific conditions... http://www.cicf.state.va.us/benefits.shtml#wfc

My son and DIL arranged their schedules so one of the parents were with the kids while the other worked (until kids started school). He worked days, she worked evenings, nights. My DIL did nap during the day when kids were napping, one in crib, the other by her side on sectional and doors locked. But my DIL is overly cautious, they married after the kids were born and she wanted to take separate planes on the honeymoon because to her thinking, if the plane crashed the kids would still have one of their parents

I'm not going to make any judgement of Noah's parents until we have more information. I'm glad that they were at his service today, for Noah's sake.

I understand that posts expressing people not understanding come from a compassionate and kind place. But, I don't like those assumptions. I am sure people who live around her certainly understand. I personally understand. Until this year, I have always worked 2 jobs. My husband has always worked long hours. We have always used free wifi on old, used devices, and never had a luxury. Ae have always worried about every single cent. I went years on only a few hours of sleep (if that) and snuck away 5 minutes of sleep in the car before clocking in. My husband and I were passing in the night for years. And I'm a mother. And I know the perils and dangers of extreme sleep deprivation. And I simply don't understand her choice. I am not saying that out of judgement. I am simply saying that I cannot fathom making that choice. So, please...let's not assume every poor, overworked, sleep deprived parent are making these choices. They aren't.

What about this scenario: mom sleeps and Noah leaves house. When she wakes and looks for him "she" sees the tank with the lid off she looks in and does not see Noah so she puts the top on because she is still looking for him and doesn't want him to fall in. Search goes on for days and because of all the stress she finally remembers that she put the lid on and "she" calls the police and tells them what she did. Police look and find Noah. LE now wait for tox report to see if her story matches or if he was drugged etc.

Some of the rumors were that Noah's mother had already been arrested so her being at the funeral proved that to be false.

Ah, I didn't consider that aspect but to be honest the only place I saw that was here.

Agree OBE. I need to follow your lead and not look at FB--people are so cruel. And as far as what was said, use your imagination and then take it 10 times worse. Makes me lose my faith in humanity.
