A reason that the septic tank area might not have been quickly identified as disturbed could be because a car was parked over it to disguise that fact.
**DISCLAIMER-- This is not a fact. This is not even an opinion. This is only one theory or possibility that may or may not have been mentioned on a page that can't be mentioned.

Also, they certainly will know about stomach contents when around his time of death was. And he was at a ball game or something Saturday, so probably had snacks. My very good friend's girlfriend was a victim of Derick Todd Lee, the Baton Rouge serial killer. They did not find her for several days but knew when she was taken and killed by what she ate/ was in her stomach. Super sad, but super helpful for law enforcement.

If they had admitted to putting Noahs body in the septic tank, wouldn't there be some charges related to that?So far I don't see any charges related to that. Maybe they got a plea bargain for their admission or maybe Noah really did fall into the septic tank or perhaps they need more forensic proof for that.

Or a mobile shed thing parked over it. But I'm thinking car too.

For those that woke up at 3 am eastern for a long period (and looked forward to :websleuther: "Zweibel" for a great european middle of the night b'fast) to follow the Oscar Pistorius trial here ... .know more than I ever wanted about death and stomach contents. If Noah did pass (sorry, I tried to type stronger word, but just cannot right now) on Saturday night, stomach contents may be in play. But if he passed on Sunday or after 6 hours after eating, it may not. :moo:

I follow you though..... but stomach contents can sometimes be an uphill battle.

If death within just a few hours of eating Saturday night meal that can be confirmed.. Agree with your post, and think that indeed would be something for the prosecution although it could be an Oscar like trial uphill battle. Absence of any foods.... smh..... not much. :moo:

IMHO I think Ashley and Paul left the children home alone at the time Paul was taken to work on Sunday, and possibly have admitted to doing so. I think that is the wanton disregard charge. Again just my humble opinion.

Then why would the levels of the charges be different folks? One person being the driver of the car leaving them :moo: :moo: makes no difference in that scenario. :moo:

This states the yard was searched many times.

This one says they had previously looked at septic

http://www.wdbj7.com/video/police-s...ook-into-septic-tank-for-noah-thomas/32053506

Both of these are posted in the media thread, too.

I will agree to disagree with your interpretation that you believe it states that they had previously looked at the septic...I listened to it 4 times...and I am quoting below from the video and transcribing exactly from your second link.....

I have reached out to the Polaski County Sherriff. I reached out to him through the public information officer for the county. The question was simple. Did anyone search inside that septic tank before Friday? Here was the response that, quote, that I received from the PIIO, I want to get this right. Quote "That information was not conveyed to me and is part of the investigation"

I do think day of death could be determined by his stomach contents. They should be different on a Saturday night vs. Sunday morning, Imo. Unless he had cereal for both, for instance. LE may have already asked what he ate Saturday night, if he had breakfast on Sunday, etc and those answers could be shown to be true or false.

I am still not seeing how so many searchers could have overlooked the septic tank if there had been the least signs that it was open, or not secured.
Not only by whatever food or whatever he ingested, but the breakdown of the contents --absorbed in his system. They can tell a lot by the digestive stage contents are in.

JMO, that was nice way of not saying one way or the other, on if it had been searched prior.

You too huh? I've been thinking about that wheeled red coop/shed since I first saw it on a photo. I would like to know if the shed was parked over the septic tank prior to the "more aggressive" search where LE opened the septic tank, looked inside, put lid back on and called the septic tank man to drain the tank. I do remember one photo showing that the red/coop shed had been moved by LE. I don't know if it was to just get it out of the way for the septic tank truck to access the tank or if it had to be moved for the opening of the lid in the first place.
Seems no one knows where it came from exactly. I wonder who owned it?

ok, I going back from the very first and read... looks like on first day very little info was released per comments on thread 1 close to 10pm anyways...

You're a brave soul. I can't remember ever getting to this point in a case and having so little reliable info. I don't think that anything has stayed consistent from day 1 until now, other than Noah liking Super Heroes and the Sheriff hating FB & armchair detectives.

A 6-month-old baby was removed from the parents' custody the day after Noah's body was found, officials said. Dublin, in southwest Virginia, is about 240 miles southwest of the District of Columbia.

I'm now wondering if this is correct? Does anyone recall LE saying the baby was removed from the home the day after Noah went missing or the day he was found? To me, this is important in the case. I do remember the day Noah's body was found, a Twitter reporter listed vehicles seen at the scene and child protective services was listed. I've looked and looked for that report and can't find it. Anyone else remember this?

That could be, but I wonder about the abuse charge. I can see them being charged with neglect, but the abuse charges conjures up all sorts of speculation IMO

According to Sheriff Davis's statement on the day of the arrests, the baby was taken from the home on Monday, the day after Noah was reported missing.

Not to diminish USA Today, but I think the local papers that have been covering this all along are more faithful to the facts as they are getting them first hand. It seems as the story rolls further and further out from the source, and more MSM outlets pick it up from previous ones, the inaccuracies increase. It's like that old fashioned game "Telephone" where the story changes a little every time it is passed on.

I've been wondering if it's standard procedure on abuse and neglect charges, to hold parents without bond. I know news media reported that Ashley's charges are more serious, but Paul's?

http://www.wusa9.com/story/news/loc...homas-virginia-boy-dead-septic-tank/70838162/

Here are the reasons in Virginia why a judge may deny bond.
https://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+19.2-120

It is too lengthy to copy and paste here but it is an easy read and I think there are a couple of different reasons we could reasonably guess why.

Thank you ANonyMs for this very well written and informative article.

You're welcome :) I really like the way that local paper writes their site/blog articles. It is so clean and easy to read and removes all sensationalism. Previously, they had a scanned copy of one of the press release statements which is nice as they seem to be hard to come by. I wish they would do that for each statement released but I think they are transcribing it faithfully.

County Sheriff Jim Davis confirmed that Abigail had been removed from the parents’ house by the sheriff’s office and Pulaski County Department of Social Services the day after Noah’s disappearance.

It's in this link.
