I would think and hope that they had more to go on than the baby had a cold as a reason to remove her from the home.

I can't see them removing her if she had asthma or bronchitis, etc. and had been receiving medical treatment.

I think the respiratory issues were not the main reason she was removed. Surely there were other, more obvious signs of neglect. You don't remove a child from the home that has a medical condition they are being treated for, with that being the sole or even main reason.

Wasn't the day after Noah was reported missing the very day that parents also admitted to leaving the children alone while the mother took the dad to work? I'm assuming that leaving the baby alone would be more than enough reason to take the baby.

I'm popping in for only a moment and don't have time to do it right now. I deduced that based on the MSM reporting that first responders, in the first 1/2 hour of arriving on the scene, did a cursory glance into the septic tank. It didn't seem that anyone with tools was called onto the scene to remove the lid and look in - this was just something they did as they walked around the property.

The only information I've read to date is that the first responders opened the lid. Nothing is stated about if they used a tool or not, just that they opened the lid. IMO just because it was not stated that they took a tool to open the lid, doesn't mean that they didn't. It would be really nice though if a reporter talked with one of the people who opened the lid and that person made a statement about the process used to open the lid. It certainly would clear up a lot of questions from everyone.

The more time that passes without any official word about the lid/tank...the more I think LE was told there was something down there and either disregarded it or took a cursory look, until days later. Jmo

I totally agree and if they would just admit it and get over the embarrassment we posters might get to hear about that dang lid. :banghead:

Did they specify that it was two first responders who did the first search? I missed that if they did... Certainly it is possible I missed it [emoji4].

Would first responders feel it necessary to make a point to tell LE that their fingerprints were all over the lid and metal poles??

Sorry for sloppy posting etiquette here...I hate posting from m my phone. Courtney, can you ask Angel (or maybe you already did) how far the white vent pipe was from the lid and/or some indication of where the lid was? Our septic tank lid was no where near our vent pipes in 2 homes and 1 business WD have had septic in.

Do we know of other abuse and neglect cases, leading to the death of a child, where the parents were denied bond? It seems in Noah's case that bond isn't being considered until the toxicology report comes back. Is this normal if the parents simply left the child alone and an accident occurred that caused his/her death? Simply means if that is what the charge is based on. There is no justification for leaving a five year old and a six month old at home alone. IMO
They can't be legitimately basing denial of bond pending toxicology and final autopsy. They have to base it on the current charges and current circumstances. Not to say that they aren't going expecting g more to come, but what happens in court now has to be based on what they know now.

I sent her a text to see what she says... I am pretty sure I asked her at some point, but I will make sure and get clarification.

I took a photo of my vent pipe at my house. It is in close proximity to the septic tank lid, which is buried under sod. And when I say "sod", I mean "yard". It's not covered with a removable square of sod, lol. The only reason I know where the lid is is because I was planting flower bushes, and when I tried to dig a hole for one of them, I hit the lid. And the whole setup is WAY too close to my house for my liking. I could post the picture.. I'm not sure how relevant it is, but I will if you'd like to see.

I'm still hoping to see MSM pick up the story of the two men who searched the septic tank the first hour Noah was missing. I am just surprised that only one former media person has published that story, failed to identify the men or even their profession and that there has been no follow up by anyone. I'd like to see confirmation by LE before taking that whole story as fact, heck at this point, I'd be happy with several facebook rumors to support that story.

I would be interested in seeing it... I have been google imaging septic tanks and mobile homes and I am still unsure of what I am looking at.

Ok. The first pic is of the vent pipe. It normally has a white cap on it, but I took it off to look inside, lol.

I keep that wooden bucket over the vent pipe so my 14 year old son, who resides in la la land quite a bit, will be careful around it while cutting grass.

In the picture with the bucket covering the vent pipe, if you look directly to the right edge of the photo, the lid is under the yard there, about halfway into the right edge of the photo. A few years ago, I had tried to dig up and mulch that whole area directly along the front of the house to make a flowerbed. You see how green my thumb is and how well THAT worked out, lol. I'm terrible at gardening. My fake inside plants even look dead.

Anyway, as I was digging the bed, I found the lid. I uncovered about half of it before I realized what it was. It is flush with the ground and had little tabs that corresponded with tabs on the tank opening. The tabs each had a screw/bolt in them, attaching the lid. I did not count how many bolts it was, as I had no reason too, and only uncovered part of the lid, trying to figure out what I had found. My daughter was anxiously waiting, betting it was treasure, lol. There did not appear to be a hinge on the lid.

Now I am confused. This looks like a different area from the one in WSLS picture. So, is this one where the septic tank actually is located? Would your friend know?

I believe that it is from the other angle. I cropped this photo, trying to see that area better. In the uncropped photo, you can, on the very left edge of the picture, see that shed that was visible in the news photos of the septic tank area. The other photos I have seen have been from the road area, on the other side. Angel said that the topography makes it hard to get an accurate perspective of where things are and at what distance. She said the septic tank is actually closer to the white house in the front, but in pictures she saw on the news, it looked closer to the mobile home.

Here is what she said about that and sent this link when she messaged me about that:

"Some of these shots are weird. That is my and marks fire pit that we left...and the septic tank is not as close to their trailer as it appears."

This link is to a video, but the first still photo that you see when the page opens is what she is referring to:

When you see the photo at the link, at the beginning of the video, you will see what I'm talking about.. It almost looks like the vent pipe is right next to the porch.

I don't care if she was using drugs or not....will have no bearing on me if I was on the jury.

Drugs or not, those children were left alone. I want to know how little Noah ended up in that septic tank, when, why, and if he had prior injuries!

Yes there are accidents that happen, but intentially choosing to leave two young kids home alone, not knowing if you're going to have a car accident, get a ticket for something, or what may happen, and no one would know the little kids were by themselves and needed help! And as of right now, I don't think we know how long they were truly by themselves either! It could have been all morning long! And this could have been their habit as well.

If either were drug users, I hope the detox was a good ride!! Other than that, I don't care, because it's not defense for leaving those kids alone, and it's not defense for little Noah being dead! JMO! But I would give it a second thought in a trial UNLESS the toxicology comes back and Noah and his sister had drugs in their system, then it becomes important to me.

The drugs would have bearing for me, but not by way of a defense. IMO, it adds an extra level of neglect and poor parenting to the situation. I think the drug use will do nothing for the defense, but absolutely be useful for the prosecution.

On Tuesday, White's court-appointed attorney tried to reassure a different judge that White would never be left alone in the home with the granddaughter, the she isn't a flight risk and isn't be a danger to herself or others. That's the only reference I've seen of that being addressed.

Thank you for the link on VA bail law. It would be very helpful if I really knew what I'm looking for.

"Your honor, my client presents no danger to her uncle's grandchild, because he is connected to a city sewer system and there is no septic tank on the property."

I see the creepy people are back on the Noah FB page (STH) suggesting his grave be turned into a sandbox. *smh*

I find that page really weird. I know people in the town will obviously be grieving for Noah, but taking photos of their own children at his graveside. Woah that's odd to me. And one lady who posts on there sounds as if she is talking like Noah was her own son. It just kinda weirds me out. I can't see how focussing so intensely on his death like that can help her own kids to grieve (and tbh I think it would probably frighten little kids if momma is so focused on death, as kids do get worried about death and dying). Just feels, well, not quite normal.

I agree. You do see people who are grieving, and they post all the time on facebook about their loss, it's like they can't think of anything else because of their pain, but it doesn't look like what that page looks like. It looks like that woman is demanding her 15 minutes of fame. Arguing about his favorite color was really over the top. This page reminds me of something, and I can't quite remember what.

I so agree. For me, the page should have been shut down once Noah was found. Now its a mawish grief-fest in my opinion, with people getting rather too wrapped up in the death of a child and turning his grave into some weird tourist attraction.

If those people are so affected by Noah's death (and I don't doubt they are) why not focus that onto something productive - volunteer in a school to help other children, do a cake sale and donate the money to a charity for abused kids and so on - make some good come out of this tragedy.

As for the idea of turning his grave into a sandpit, that's just plain bizarre! Yes its a lovely idea for parents to do, so a younger sibling can still "play" with a brother or sister, but you can't have the neighbourhood transcending on a grave that has been turned into a free-for-all park. Its a resting place at the end of the day. I actually feel for the relatives of those buried near to Noah, as what was a pretty private place has been opened up to the wider community and beyond. It won't be long before people are posting selfies from Noah's grave :(

Just my opinions.
