The Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's health to find a missing man who was last seen reportedly heading to Harrisonburg.

According to deputies, 40-year-old Richard Johnson, of Scottsville, left at 4 a.m. on Monday, May 6, in his wife's red 1998 Honda CRV, with Virginia license plate VZT9943, heading to employment training in Harrisonburg.

His wife spoke with him by phone at 9 a.m. that morning.

Investigators haven't been able to confirm that Johnson had employment-related training in Harrisonburg on Monday, and he failed to report to work in Charlottesville on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office says it's unknown what happened to him at this point.

If you have any information about his whereabouts, you're asked to contact the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office at 434-589-8211.

I wonder if investigators have check the traffic cameras along I-64W and I-81N, also Harrisonburg, to see if his car showed up along that route. It would be hard since it's still dark that early in the morning. I-64W has several cameras on Afton Mtn I think due to the crazy weather up there. Also, I'm sure they have but someone should check to see what area his cell phone pinged when he called at 9am. I hope he is found soon
