The Franklin Police Department is seeking a missing person with dementia.

According to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the department, Ronell Stephens, 61, was reported missing at 7:42 p.m. on Monday. He had been visiting with family members at Southampton Memorial Hospital when he walked out between 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
He is described as a dark-skinned black male, 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, wearing green shorts, a green shirt and a black hat.

If anyone sees Ronell Stephens, they are asked to call 911 or Franklin Police at 562-8575.

Police said Ronell has dementia and was wearing green shorts, a green shirt, and a black hat when he wandered away, some time between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. He is six feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

Details of Disappearance
Stephens was last seen with family members at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Virginia between 1:13 and 2:30 p.m. on February 4, 2019. He walked out of the facility and has never been heard from again.

At the time of his disappearance, Stephens was known to frequent the McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He may be in Richmond, Virginia, possibly on the south side of the city. Few details are available in his case.
