Two Missing/Endangered Elderly Persons with Dementia

Henrico Police need assistance in locating two missing elderly persons that are believed to be endangered. Ruth Vaden, white female age 89 and Robert Vaden, white male age 90 were last seen on February 3, 2022, at 6:30 PM in the 10000 block of Three Chopt Road in Henrico’s west end.

The couple will possibly be operating a grey 2014 Volkswagen Passat with VA license WYP 2527. Both have Dementia and are in need of medication. Anyone having information regarding their location is asked to call Henrico Police at 804-501-5000 or your local police department if found outside of Henrico County.

This is heartbreaking. I remember when my father in law had to take they keys away from his elderly dad. He was gone for 8 hours and we were frantic! He put 300 miles on the car and wasn't even able to tell us where he was! It can be an uncomfortable conversation, but it must be had. If your loved ones have dementia, they shouldn't be driving. A danger to themselves and others

Reading these WS threads, it has been an eyeopener to see how many people with dementia are driving cars. It is so dangerous for them and dangerous for us too. Was hoping to find that these two had been found, but the Henrico Police FB is still showing them to be missing.
