A man has pleaded guilty to being an accessory in the slaying of Virginia Tech student Samanata Shrestha.

The Roanoke Times reports that 24-year-old Keifer Kyle Brown received a 12-month sentence with all but 28 days suspended after he entered his plea on Monday in Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Ewing, 24, entered an Alford plea of guilt in February to first-degree murder — just days before her trial was scheduled to begin.
