[h=1]Public’s help sought in locating missing 53-year-old South Boston man[/h]

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in locating Samuel Thomas “Sammy” Long, a 53-year-old South Boston man.


Halifax County Sheriff’s Office Cpl. C. J. Yeatts describes Long as 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair, with no tattoos or scars.


Long’s last known address was 100 Carrington St. in South Boston, and he is the owner of a white 1992 Nissan Pathfinder with Virginia license plate number VMN 9068.


Long’s last contact with his family was on Friday, Jan. 19, and he was last seen at America’s Best Value Inn on Philpott Highway via video surveillance around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23

Long is employed at Jerry Epps’ Landscaping.
