IMO it appears that he's trying to escape whatever it is they wanted to talk to him about in their investigation. I sense wrongdoing on his part... Sounds like he went "Exit, stage Left" and disappeared into the night when he realized they were investigating him. JMO

“We love him and need him here with us,” she said. “Just keep praying that he comes home.”

The same day, officials at Wise County Public Schools — which oversees Union High — disclosed that an employee within the district had been placed on administrative leave.

Neither they nor cops would identify the person, including whether it was Turner or if the two cases were connected.

“This is standard procedure and not a determination of wrongdoing. This situation also involves an active law-enforcement matter, and the division cannot comment further.”

That actually looks more like a passport photo than a mug shot. Mine is atrocious.

I wonder if someone picked him up and is hiding him after he ran into the woods. Just wearing sweats and not seeming to have much else with him, it seems it'd be difficult to impossible to survive out in the woods by himself. Self-harm is of course one other option too. But how far could he have gotten on foot before they started the drones, etc searching for him? I would think he'd be located by now.

I wonder if there are roads that cut through this wooded area or if it's bordered by woods where someone could have easily picked him up and gotten him away. You would think there would be evidence from his phone records of him communicating with someone around that time, though, if that's the case.
