GUILTY VA - Tara Owens, 22, found murdered, Fairview, 27 Aug 2005

Officials in Northampton County have charged a man with murder in connection with the death of a 22-year old woman.

The body of Tara Mitchell Owens was found in a cornfield near her Eastern Shore home on August 27th.

Thursday, authorities arrested Umah Joaquing Owens.

Sheriff's Deputies were initially called to Owens' home in the 24,000 block of Lankford Highway on a report of missing person.

While on the scene, deputies found her body.

Tara Owens was the mother of two young children - both under the age of two.

What a tragic loss. I'm assuming Umah is her husband? Now the two young children will have no parents.

A jury found Umah Owens guilty of murdering his wife and using a firearm in the commission of that murder.
