Missing person search begins in Floyd County

•deputies were dispatched to Indian Valley Road near the Montgomery County line for a report of a possible missing person.
•was reported missing by a family member who had not spoken to Young since April 29.
•5’10”, 225lb
•performed a thorough search of his residents as well as a river nearby
•vehicle located at residence

•last known to be at 646 Indian Valley Rd in Floyd County, VA
•last contact was with a friend on the phone at approx. 8:45 p.m.
•diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was on several daily medications that he’s been without
•been showing signs of severe depression
•He was most likely wearing jeans and a pullover fleece shirt.
•has a blue toned tribal tattoo on his left shoulder
•had his wallet and his cell phone with him
•last seen wearing a silver watch, black wedding band on his right hand and a gold chain with a ring on it

Search continues for missing Floyd Co. man with bipolar disorder

Additional info

• he was reported missing by his husband and a friend Thursday in the area of Big Indian Creek.
•Young's husband, Scott Boothe, found out the Sunday prior that Young was not taking his regular medication.
•The FCSO handled the search for the first few days before calling in the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) for assistance Monday.
•no scenario has been ruled out at this point and they will keep looking until resources are exhausted.
•are searching by foot, water, drone, with search dogs and more.
•Boothe (husband) believes the heavy rain, high creek and winds Th could have knocked Young in the water. LE said if that was the case, it is possible Young went as far as the New River (20 miles).

Unfortunately we do not have an update on Terry. However LE believe the body found on the River was him. Will update when confirmation is shared.
