Heroine, prayers for you and others who personally know a victim and\or a victimizer. Sad, every which way.

Thank you! We live in such a small town I didn't want to say much as to what I believe although I did change my profile picture and at least it doesn't show my real name. What I will say is that it seems that everyone around here are siding with the mother because they "think" they know her and before all of this the child was sent to the hospital often for injuries and there was talk that the child may have some underlying disease that caused him to be injured easily. I don't want to say much more because I don't want to start talking rumors. I grew up with the childs father and as you can see the child was a handsome little boy. I just want justice for the child whatever that may be because I'm worried that since there seems to be some uncertainty about the cause of death that if his death was due to being abused he may never have justice. If you have any other questions feel free to message me or post on here.

Nottoway mom found not guilty of killing her 5-year-old son

I have not followed this case but came across this article on my local news, I live close to where this all happened. I really wish I knew more about little Tyson and the pain he endured during his tragically short life. I will continue to follow this case hoping for some answers. I was surprised to see this verdict today. Maybe I see too many cases like this on here and I’m jaded but I formed my opinion about this the minute I read an article about the upcoming trial a few days ago. I’m glad the book isn’t completely closed on this yet.

So who do all of the mother's enablers, oops, I mean, supporters think killed Tyson, since the coroner ruled his cause of death as blunt force trauma??

Another lost child failed by those who were supposed to love and protect him.

I’m extremely confused. How does this “woman” have so many “fans”???? What am I missing here???? One of the jury members was so upset they were physically ill. I wish there was more information about this sweet angel boy and everything that happened to him. Unfortunately where he lived is the definition of small town Virginia. Not many news outlets pick up stories from down there. Like I said earlier, there’s still hope for justice when they decide if she should be charged with felony child neglect May 7th

She hasn’t skipped a beat, like she doesn’t have a care in the world, narcissist, cares only about herself and has everyone fooled, she was probably jealous of that sweet boy, they need to remove the girl from the home, this woman is ruthless and her supporters have been fooled by this demon. Call Nancy Grace!!

During the trial, prosecutors presented a letter to Nottoway Social Services prior to Tyson Tharpe's death. The letter was written by a VCU doctor and child abuse expert, five months before five-year-old Tyson died.

The doctor warned NSS that if the boy was left in the custody of the defendant, his mother, he would most certainly suffer severe injury or death.

That prediction came true in March of 2017.

I have no idea how she got off like she did. He had multiple broken bones and injuries before he died. The story goes she was taking her other child to school when Tyson got sick she didn’t have time to come back and tend to him so her boyfriend watched him while she took her other kid to school. When she came back he was unresponsive. I don’t believe really any of this. I don’t know who hurt him or what but it wasn’t an accident in my opinion and if it was it was still brought on by someone and I think someone knows more than they are saying. I can’t believe how people act like the mother is so great. It’s strange to me.

Case will not be retried - Kenbridge Victoria Dispatch

So this case will not be retried?? The jury was deadlocked on the child abuse/neglect charge. Did they just not have enough evidence to convict her of little Tyson's murder? Are they thinking the boyfriend @Heroine mentioned could've been the perpetrator? Either way, someone needs to be held responsible...this little boy's death was ruled a homicide and child abuse experts wrote letters and testified he was in danger of being killed.

Do you have the names of those "experts" Last I heard Richmond has 2 and they serve the whole state and I am pretty sure most of the cases they review are done by viewing picture taken by S.S. workers or VA state troopers.

@Soulmagent , did you read the info in above posts...crushed testicle, lacerated liver, multiple broken bones and injuries? The abuse was observed by a VCU medical doctor and he contacted social services on little Tyson's behalf. How else would he have come by these injuries other than abuse? And if not by the mother, someone else should be held responsible!!
