I wouldn't worry about information being out there, you didn't give any identifying information.
I just hope your Aunt's situation has a better outcome than my Uncle's.

This is from two years ago, but there were four to five abduction attempts in Spotsylvania County in a short period of time. Video gives lots of details regarding one victim, multiple suspects.

Thanks for editing your reply, carbuff. I'm probably being paranoid by deleting my post but I figure it's best to be cautious since at this point I have no idea what's happened or what's going to happen.

The incident in Pennsylvania involving a white van may be related other incidents in other states.

Local abduction attempts may be tied to cases in Mich., W. VA.

They said three men had been in the van – one in front and two in back – and the rear windows were painted white while the others were tinted.

I'm thinking out loud here about the van involved in the abductions.

Is there any way possible that the color of the van can be constantly changed?

Is there a special kind of paint that could be applied to the van that can easily be washed off?

Here are some things to think about regarding the van involved in the area where the Spotsylvania abduction occurred.

Are there any weekly newspapers in the area that has a handyman services listing in the classified section of the newspaper?

A handyman could have been working in the neighborhood or a contractor could have been installing cable tv, sattelite dish, or broadband in the area.

Consumer complaints regarding any work involving a handyman or contractor over incomplete or shoddy work, work never performed, or reports of burglaries or attempted break ins prior to the abduction should be looked into for any possible link.

It is hard to believe that a kidnapper would PLAN to do an abduction in broad daylight while driving a SKY BLUE van. That makes me think it was a parental or domestic situation.

BBM - What about that shrink wrap stuff that is done on vehicles? Since it's not that common I think the owner of the van would be easy to remember if he is having it done one or more times....?

Here is another incident of an attempted child abduction involving a white van that happened last month in Ohio.

What caught my attention here from this particular incident is the number of suspects that were inside the white van at the time of the attempted child abduction.

The Port Clinton Police Department also released this flyer concerning this incident. The only suspect description the flyer had was the driver of the white van.

Washable paint. Worth googling for sure! I had mentioned upstream about changing the paint colors but didn't think about this as a possibility.

I am on pins and needles waiting to hear back from ----(our fellow WS'er) about the tip! The fact that her relative has not responded to any attempts by the family to contact her speaks volumes to me, especially when it should be obvious to her (the relative), that her family would be concerned to know that a child her son's age is missing from her neighborhood!

Hope this makes sense, I am trying not to be too specific !:shush:

For the record, even though they have called off the search, they are obviously still taking this case very seriously. After already speaking to one person this morning, I got another call back from a lead detective within the hour. On a Sunday too, to a direct cell line!

So many facets here, I wonder how LE's investigation into contractors, construction in the area is going. I haven't found much on local construction so far but I'm sure LE knows exactly what projects, and by whom, are active in the vicinity.
