Human remains were discovered in a barrel on a Virginia property. The story heading says "Bedford County," but it looks like Trapper Lane is in Vinton, Roanoke County?

Investigators believe the remains are several months old.

This one is a long shot as it appears the time frame is off, but Margaret Stamper White who went missing from Crimora, VA had her NamUs pulled offline sometime very recently. The timing is curious too because her boyfriend at the time was charged with another murder in March and the prosecution is moving forward.

A Bedford County man faces felony charges after authorities said they found human remains in a barrel at his home.

Robert A. Wozniak, 47, is charged with disposing of a body with malicious intent to avoid detection and four counts of obtaining money by false pretense, according to a Bedford County Sheriff’s Office news release Monday.

The Vinton man charged in connection with a decaying body found in a barrel last weekend told authorities the remains are those of his grandmother, whose Social Security checks he was collecting since he found her dead months ago, according to search-warrant affidavits.
