Michael's LKA date in Namus is 22 May 2014. Charley Project has it as 22 May 2011. I wonder which is correct? The 2014 date puts him within John Doe's estimated year of death of 2013-2014 as it is 10 months b/w Michael going hiking and JD's discovery.

The state medical examiner's office is working on 326 unidentified persons' deaths across Virginia. One of those is from 2015, when a man was found dead in Virginia Beach. Derek Lytle has more about the case.

Virginia Beach police seeking assistance with 11-year cold case after remains found

The remains of a person missing their hands and torso were found near Virginia Beach Boulevard and Birdneck Road 11 years ago. Police need help to identify them.

''Investigators believe the man was between 40 and 65 years old. His remains were found scattered across a small area; reportedly, they were left by four-wheelers. Officials said the body had significantly decomposed, leaving only skeletal remains. Key identifying features — including the torso, lower jawbone, hands and all teeth — were missing, complicating identification efforts.

“Skeletal remains, once all the tissue and skin have decomposed, if there was any natural disease or trauma that didn’t manifest on the bones, it’s hard to determine the cause of death,” said Lara Newell, the long-term unidentified coordinator for the medical examiner’s office.
Because the remains were skeletonized, fingerprinting was not possible. DNA was extracted from a femur and entered into the FBI’s Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), but no matches have been found.
A facial reconstruction has been created to provide a possible likeness of the man, who is described as white and between 5'2" and 5'7" tall. Clothing recovered at the scene included boots and sweatpants.''

I think you do have to be logged in to see them...it took me almost a month to get back in after they first switched over to DIAMD but thankfully I haven't had any issues recently.
