This is so classic for these kind of shooting sprees. LONER, quiet; heavily dependent on girlfriend or other person.

It's classic. He's not a Jihadist ; he's a nutcase. What makes him different is that he's from South Korea; although there are plenty of Asian murders, we had one here in this town not long ago, but he murdered one person, his teacher.

This kind of mass murder can run through all walks of life, differing nationalities.

I'm interested in how Cho Seung Hui obtained the two guns, and what his reasoning might have been for filing off the serial numbers.

Wow. They don't even look like the same person. Where did you get the second photo? The second photo looks like a friendly guy.

So the creep has no ID on him, he shoots himself in the face and part of his face blew off (gross) and he scraped the serial numbers off the guns.
Sounds like he didn't want to be identified; however, he left a disturbing note in his dorm room.

I am trying to understand any of this, and none of it makes sense.

He is Asian, he lives in the dorm where the first shooting occurred and he recently broke up with his girlfriend. He also happens to have a Web blog packed with pictures in which he poses with firearms. On the Internet, Wayne Chiang is as good as convicted.

He has received 37,000 hits on his Web site over the past several hours, many containing death threats, he says.

"Right now pretty much the Internet thinks it is me," Chiang told ABC News. "I am just interested in trying to clear my name.

"It was five for five. I was Asian, I lived in [the dorm], I go to V Tech, I recently broke up with my girlfriend, and I collect guns," Chiang, who initially contacted ABC affiliate KNXV, said.

Three separate federal sources have told ABC News Chiang is not a suspect or a person of interest in their investigation.

I don't think it's the same person, JMO. The shape of face is different, the eyeglasses are different, the size of the ears are different, his nose even seems to 'lean' to different sides in each picture...or maybe I am wrong and it is the same guy in both pics?

Maybe someone did try to tackle him but that info hasn't come out yet?? You would think that surrounded by SO many people, someone would have tried to do something. But of course, fear can be paralyzing. And I'm certainly not trying to judge here. Lord only knows what I would have done in that situation - I'm sure I would have frozen solid.

Trey Perkins, a student from the German class, was on FOX this morning. They asked him that. He said that the gunman was reloading with clips. Just pop them out and back in....there was no time to get over the desks and rush him before he reloaded. Also, he had 2 guns....both not empty at the same time.
