Deputies searching for missing man they say shot himself on Afton Mountain

Feck has been entered into the missing person's database as a missing, endangered person.

Feck is described as a 33-year-old white man standing 5-feet, 3-inches tall, weighing 155 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including facial tattoos.

He was last seen wearing dark-colored jeans with a white belt, a yellow shirt, and an orange hat.
He was last seen at an overlook on Afton Mountain.

The sheriff's office says someone called to report that a man, who they believe was Feck, had shot himself with a handgun in the upper chest and/or arm near the Inn at Afton and then drove south on the Blue Ridge Parkway in a white SUV.

Do they think he shot himself on purpose. Or did he accidentally discharged his weapon because that could be the difference of looking for him in a ditch somewhere because you drove off the road while he was trying to get to a hospital or him trying to commit suicide and going somewhere more secluded with no witnesses.

The real question is who shot himself. I'm very curious about the details of this police report.

I’m with you on that! IMO, there obviously had to be a gun involved with an individual or at least an injured individual to cause someone to call police and report an incident like this. So if not Feck, than who?

I think this guy wanted someone to think he had shot himself even though he hadn’t. JMO.
