Well I must have had a mini stroke as I was waiting for the verdicts because I thought I was out of smokes and then as my nerves calmed down after the verdicts were known, I noticed the almost full carton of cigarettes on the counter that I had just bought yesterday! lol I survived the worst of the tension without smoking so maybe it's a sign I should quit! :)

Oh, wow. Get your tissues ready.
Been using them already. Happy for the jury to have made this decision, it would have been difficult to hear the late details that came out after they gathered. And questioned if they made the right decision.

The anchor on CHCH is talking about how maybe the Bosma family wants the sentencing today so they don't have to come back. And he said this trial was like nothing he'd seen before because Millard would stare you right in the eyes over and over.

I'm convinced TB was killed the in field right after leaving on the drive. If I'm going to kill you, I want to do it right away, so that in an hour from now when his wife starts to worry, you're already in Waterloo getting rid of evidence. I'm thinking they pulled into the field, tried to get him out of the truck where the plan was to execute and put in the truck bed...but TB wouldn't get out, and was killed in the struggle. MS and his defence team built a story around the bobcat video.

Crown asking for DNA orders for both #Millard & #Smich.

What does this mean?

Looks like the Crown don't get their DNA until after a conviction. So now they want it.

Not sure how common the verdict and sentencing in the same day are, but IMO it is the right choice. This trial has disrupted too many good peoples lives. Don't waste any more precious good folks time on these two.

Looking forward to a CBC "The Fifth Estate" episode of this trial. Although the continuing publication ban will make it years before we know the true extent of damage by these monsters.

Sooooo glad the jury made the right decision. I was in the schoolyard for end of day pickup, anxiously following AC and SC's twitter, and had to stifle a "hooray" when I read the verdicts.
