I wish the jury could have asked questions of the closing arguments. I would have asked Ms. Phillips:

"So, if the defendent was only trying to trick EJ and not Logan with "phony" adoption papers, then why:

1) didn't you just tell him that they were phony, instead of telling him he needed to sign adoption papers; and

2) why would your attorney have needed to have been involved if they were phony - since I would think he could get in trouble with the bar for being involved in such a scheme?"

2 very good questions. Maybe the jury should have asked TS that when she was on the stand. Although I am sure she would have come up with some lame excuse. The tooth fairy told her to do it.

Well, if she was hearing voices (God, she claimed), maybe he has fillings in her teeth like that old Gilligan's Island episode where Gilligan kept hearing radio broadcasts. :waitasec: :floorlaugh:

I'm guessing, although maybe court pio is out to lunch, that jury is back and TPS is in the courtroom. Just a guess, though....

Wow, I'm shocked it is taking this long.

As much as I'd hate to see them make a 'too quick' verdict, the suspense is really awful. I hope this doesn't go into days and days.

There are a lot of recordings and documents the jury could be going through. Maybe there are a few that are saying not guilty so the others are having to show how it should be guilty.

At least they don't seem to be asking for pretzels in the jury room!

Thanks!
But I'm wondering how InSession know that they will contnue to deliberate until 7 pm????
The courthouse will be open till 8 pm EST, so why not stay till 8 pm?
Maybe there will be a verdict before 7 pm.......then deliberations will be over.

I am, and I'm not.

I'm sure they are going over things to "cover all the bases" since they are aware that there is media interest in this case. They might want to be able to say "we voted guilty for a, b, c, d...." (I hope!)

Thanks!

And actually court pio twitter said deliberations until 7:30, so ??? :waitasec:

My daughter is being induced in the morning and we don't know what she's having yet. The suspense is killing me. I could use a distraction.

after that 'other high profile' case I always feel unsure. I think they showed enough evidence to find her guilty on both counts, but as for the sentencing I'm wavering. I think they will come back today with a verdict, IMO. But I've been forever scarred by that other case. *sigh*

:floorlaugh:Too true. I have come to regard "that other case" as on a par with "the Scottish play," and one simply does not mention either, lest ye bring the wrath of the gods upon us.

I'm back, no verdict? Wowza. I am starting to contemplate not a not-guilty; but a deadlocked jury. Thoughts people?

Just checking in to see if there was any news yet . . . how many counts are they going through?
