I think JA already knew that she lost this case. She was practically writing her mitigation strategy with her specialist. I think she is saving her best manipulative plea for the sentencing phase. I think that in Jodi's mind she thinks that no jury will convict her with the death penalty. When and if they do, that's when we will see the "How dare you" look from Jodi. Her reaction today wasn't one of surprise, but it did make me recall the words of Travis when he said that she only cries for herself. I think she was trying to catch a glimpse of her Mom or Grandmother when the jury was walking out....or she was merely trying to watch the jury again.

Did anyone else find it odd that JA asked Wilmott who the jury foreman (person) was? That is the last thing I would be thinking right before the clerk was about to read my verdict. Crazy I tell ya...ca-razy.

wow, i am glad you mentioned that; i thought i was seeing thing when she mouthed the word "foreman"- she was probably still thinking oh good, i've got him/her in the bag and then bam, i guess not grodi

Felony murder doesn't mean "a murder that's a felony"--all murders are felonies, as you pointed out.

It means that a death occurred in connection with the commission of some (other) felony. Normally, it is used to convict someone of murder when they absolutely DID NOT intend to kill the other person, but "accidentally" caused a death in the process of committing some other felony (like hitting a pedestrian while fleeing from a bank robbery).

I find it interesting that even with the unanimous premeditation vote there were 5 (I think) jurors who voted for Felony as well.... Overkill?

JODI --- You have been weighed, you have been measured.....

Is JA having a meltdown? NG said JA is still in courtroom having heated arguments with her lawyers.

Lol, she's going to turn on them now, you know it!

A famous saying by one of Jodi's lawyers--Now lets back up a little bit-Guilty-now lets back up a little bit-Guilty--now lets back up a little bit-Guilty -Ok

i cannot stop laughing after reading this!! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Would love to see the faces of ALV and what's his name? Samuels?

They are probably down at the post office sending books to the convicted murderer.

OMG! What a stress filled afternoon!

Verdict scheduled for exactly when i pick my DD up from running, then mobile feed goes down, WS down, feed finally comes back up, audio ONLY, in time for me to hear verdict, then I had to rush off to a meeting!

I really didn't think they'd give her M1! WTG, jury! Y'all did good.

And thanks to mah texting friend who kept me imformed during my blackout! ;)

Glad that NG just explained aggravating factor and that only one is needed... heinous and cruel murder. It was certainly that, imo.

I watched on my huge HD TV and there were some tears going down the right side of her face along with her chin and lower lip seriously quivering. she was holding it in for sure.

first time she showed real emotion in this form.......

Her lack of reaction was extremely creepy!!! She couldn't even squeeze out a real tear after being found guilty

If you watch replays, you can see the almost instantaneous change in expression from "poor me" to "ok, what do I need to do next to get out of this" once the jury leaves.

Woo hoo!

Rest in peace Travis. What a testament to you, Travis, that your death brought so many people together in seeking justice for you!

Your life was snuffed out far too soon , but you will always be alive in the hearts of everyone you loved!

no there was a space for the options..."premed"..."felony"..."both".. 7 marked premed only and 5 marked "both"...so ALL said premed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All voted premed, i.e. believed JA lied and lied and lied. Yet ALV with her "trained brain" swore under oath that she saw no indication JA was a liar.

I was stunned to see that there were 7 jurors who voted for felony murder in addition to the premeditated murder. This jury is going to sentence her to DEATH!
I'd say they broadcasted that loud and clear. :aktion:

  • #1,815
I guess there is a jury that would convict her...and their words were marked GUILTY!!

I think one of two things:

1. Crap something bad happened

or

2. There is nothing noteworthy to report.

:giggle:

:great:

Nah. I bet she will tweet:

"Did they come up with a verdict? I was in a fog"

Isn't the choice LWOP or death only?
No. In Arizona the judge can sentence her to be eligible for parole after serving 25 years too.

Yes it's time for society to celebrate. The murderer is off to prison and society will be safer with her behind bars.

I wonder what her tweet by proxy puppet will tweet next? :floorlaugh:
