OK, Kids!!

Here is my plan...I am going to close this window and turn off HLN. I can't handle listening/reading over and over and over again everything I have seen happen already.

I will miss you all very much, but for me and my sanity, I have to do it!!!

I will check in over the weekend to make sure you are all behaving yourselves - or not, which will be much more fun!

GOD BLESS YOU ALL...and JUSTICE FOR TRAVIS IS NEAR!!!!!!!!

Happy Weekend Y'all!!!

Carried over from closed thread:

Jury going home for the day, crap. Must have taken a vote, I'd start that way and something is off OR want to sleep on it over the weekend. I'll be nuts over the weekend. Signing off, see you all on Monday. Hope we get a GUILTY verdict in the FIRST degree felony then. Hope each and everyone of you have a nice weekend,

JMHOO, but I think they probably selected a foreman and set their schedule and that's about it today. Doesn't seem like they had time for much more.

I was in a meeting all afternoon...which one of our jurors ended up as alternates? Please state with our WS names...numbers are meaningless for me. :-)

TIA

I'm a little worried! NG just described one of the male jurors: a young male, sitting in front row wearing a gray hoodie was slouched down in his chair during Juan's closing - doing neck exercises! All of the other jurors were fixated on Juan. He is NOT an alternate, btw.

A hoodie in AZ? It must be close to 100 degrees. A hoodie in the courtroom???? Hmmm!

Two people on HLN are delusional.

Reasking my question from the other thread...how did Nurmi handle Jodi's lie about returning the gas can?

Have a great weekend all. Going to spend some time decompressing

I'm with ya! I'm going to spend some time with my family, work in the yard, clean my house, and generally enjoy my life.

Some things Jodi Arias is not doing this weekend...and nor does she deserve to.

I already have and I stand by what I said. It can only be inferred from her answer - "that's the only visible injury" - that she sustained the injury while STABBING Travis. She did not directly state that. The finger could have been damaged by other mean during the killing. Regardless, she did not state, "I sustained the injury while stabbing Travis". She said it was the only visible injury of hers that came from the killing of Travis.

Why does that matter? It happened during the murder. Wasn't that the point?

The suggestion that she would admit to sustaining it while stabbing Travis is ludicrous. She wouldn't have fog then would she? Splitting these kinds of hairs makes me wonder so I will bow out of this.

Bottom line: Juan did not mischaracterise JA's testimony and a lie/logical fallacy does not make it so.

I feel a sense of relief that the trial is over and that the decision is now in the hands of the jury. I won't dwell on the case over the weekend as there is so much to do now that spring has finally arrived in southeastern lower Michigan. I figure that spring cleaning will help to pass the time and that Monday will be here in no time. That bottle of Champagne will continue to chill in the fridge over the weekend, and I hope that there will be something to celebrate very soon.

Good night, all. Sweet dreams. :cupcake:

Night all. I am going Jodi free until Monday. JUSTICE FOR TRAVIS

Reasking my question from the other thread...how did Nurmi handle Jodi's lie about returning the gas can?

He basically said she might have returned it to another walmart.

It may be your story, but it wasn't his. His was just as convincing, IMO.

Not saying he didn't do a great job. I was just hoping he might've mentioned it in response to Nurmi's "why didn't she do x...or y...or z?"

Oh well...now to anxiously wait for Monday! :scared:

Most of closing arguments is making inferences from the evidence. He didn't do,anything wrong, that's a logical conclusion.

At least he didn't tell an outright lie like Nurmi did, by now claiming Jodi never said she returned the gas can to the Salinas Walmart when indeed she did.

Can you direct me to your post where you criticized Nurmi for that blatant lie?
I must have missed it.

Pretty much. (I didn't watch his closing arguments)

Closing arguments- thread #173 - Page 58 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

If the defense tries to bring this up during closing, Juan needs to rebut by using Jodi's own testimony.

Juan: And you returned the gas can to the same Walmart you bought it from, right?

Jodi, looking at the jury: Yes.

Juan: Because it was in the same general vicinity, right?

Jodi: Right.

That's transcribed testimony from her cross on the jury questions. She not only says yes to the first question, she further confirms it with her answer to the second question -- leaving little room for a "misspeak" excuse.

I wonder if the chain gang get weekends off. JA will find out next weekend.

Haha With her 2 million bond and facing capital murder, she isn't allowed on the chain gang.

LMAO!!

Is the "group prayer" asked for on twitter by "Jodi" in response to Tanisha's message?

BTW, since I am leaving (hehe!) it might not be a bad idea to repost that a few times over the weekend? Not that I am telling anyone what to do or anything...
