My mom said that can be grounds for an appeal, because she said that your attorney is supposed to be in your corner. Apparently Nurmi left the corner, and LEFT the BUILDING as well.

It's not grounds for appeal. Someone said earlier that nurmi said he didn't believe his client was innocent, that would most likely would be grounds for an appeal and I am very sure he wouldn't say that. I am still waiting for verification from the other poster as I am watching his closing now and I didn't hear that.

Well DD got to watch the last closing arguments with me. She and my DS watched the KC verdict with me - it's ok- they are adults-lol.

I was kinda miffed that my children and grands were invading my home. SHEESH any other time would be fine :scared: But you know I stopped and thought that could have been MY son. Or another family member and I got unirritated ( making up words here) real quick.

I had a great evening with Mr Red, all 3 of my babies with their SOs and my two grandbabies. One who since she thinks she lives here is still here tucked in her bed that she has here. And I am so thankful and so blessed.

Today for me started out crummy, but as things fell into place ,I was reminded that His eye is on the sparrow, so I know it is on me. We have a great warm wonderful group here that have been pulling ,hoping ,praying, crying, ranting, raving, reading, examining every bit of evidence they could get their hands on. We have given up part of ourselves to do this. Because we KNOW that this deserves justice. That from everything said about him ( that did not come from JA) he would have been an awesome husband and father and friend.

No matter the outcome please keep in mind that even if it is not what we want , it was the system served. And she will have SOME sort of punishment. But what she will not have is a large community of strangers who came together to see Justice for Travis.

And I will think about her next month when I am vacation first at Disney, then sailing on the Disney Dream. For about one sec,

I am glad you had a relaxing evening. This has been, and still is, an emotional roller coaster for all of us.

Didn't DeMarte say that Jodi's IQ was 119?

Yes and it's above average. MENSA requires like a 130 so it's not like she was all that far away from genius status. She is intelligent yes, smart...I don't think so.

ETA Okay Mensa requires the top 2% whatever that means. I read somewhere 130 but now I'm reading different stuff. Either way she is intelligent lmao.

I hope Bobby hasn't disappeared too.
So, Bobby and Matt were roommates and Jodi dated them both. I missed a few days at the beginning of the trial.
They weren't roommates when Jodi was dating Bobby. IIRC, Bobby moved to Oregon, Jodi visited him and he was sharing a place with Matt.

Especially when they have a sugar daddy to sponge off of.

She is different than someone who hasn't faced true hardships. Some people just don't save money when they are young...they figure that there is no need to.

The one thing I've never understood is one of his friends said the house stunk. I can't remember who said it, but I know it wasn't a roommate. It was someone who came over to check on him. Did the roommate not smell anything? I guess since they thought he was already in Cancun they were watching Napoleon? It sounds like the relationship with the roommate was rather distant IMO.

They definitely didn't keep tabs on one another. I think smells sneak up on you, too, if you are living in it, in a way that it doesn't if you are never there. The roommates feel guilty enough, so I don't look to bash them about it. It has probably had a lasting effect on them.

As far as it being summer, that just means the AC was probably blasting.

Apparently my mom flunked the bar exam. I am kidding, she is not working in legal field. I am just being silly.

I think you're right. They found her guilty but they're going to spend Monday debating that danged camera in the washer issue, just to make her sweat.

lol

Hopefully.

LOL

I see the jury "deliberating" over a game of spades, checkers, and some of the men discussing the NFL draft.

Lol

That was so shady of her. Bobbi moves to another state to escape her, and then she comes to visit him and begins sleeping with his roommate. That is just
bizarre and creepy. Who does that?

well.... maybe it took the JA heat off of bobby - maybe a better him than me scenario???

I, myself, have never smelled a dead body, human or animal, but I would wonder why my house all of a sudden stunk. I would make my son check the source of the smell for me. I would freak out if I saw a dead animal.

I've never smelled a human dead body, but I had a mouse dead in the attic once. Over once space when I walked into my office, I smelled the most rank and festering thing. But once I walked passed it, I didn't smell it. Granted, I knew to expect this smell because we'd put a trap up there after hearing the thing digging relentlessly for three days--or whatever it was doing--so we didn't let it go past the time when I smelled that.

It was rank. I mean rank. But it didn't go all over the house. Just over the spot where the dead body was. My BF located the body because I held my nose while standing under that spot. He gauged where I was standing, went in the attic and found it.

I think that any WS'er who can tolerate watching HLN deserves a dang gold star! I just had to mute it aft JVM and the "jury" asked about how JA got her defense team. The answer was so incomplete I wanted to scream at the TV. If I didn't have WS'es, I would go completely cray-cray.

Another thing that got me all riled up today was the thought of the jury system in AZ. I love e fact that jurors get to ask questions. However, I can't help but feel its a bit cruel to sit through an entire trial only to discover at the 11th hour that you're an alternate. I would be so pissed, hurt, sad...you name it. I wuld prefer knowing at the outset that I'm an alternate. It's just so unique it's hard to wrap my mind around it.

I just finished watching Juan's rebuttal. It wasn't nearly as impact full as I had hoped, or thought it could be....but it was certainly adequate. What I enjoyed the most was Stabby Einsteins facial expressions whenever JM said something derogatory about her. When JM mentioned Travis not wanting sex, or JA not wanting it...I can't remember....the expression was priceless. I don't see JA pleading for her life by acting remorseful. No way. She is as arrogant as one can ever be.

I knew that OJ and CA would get away with murder, but I don't feel that way with this case. I just hope the jury takes at least the entire morning on Monday because I have a doctors appt at 8:30 a.m. and I have to be back at the office in time to watch the "jury will never convict me" do just that. Felony Murder One.

I am. Natisha bought the gas can. It was $17 something.
Now she is headed to another Walmart to return it without a receipt and is waiting inline at customer service to see if she gets cash back...

I know it's stupid but I have nothing better to do.
So I am watching and tuning out the rest. :blushing:

Was it you and I that were discussing the tassel from the pillow during closings today? I can't remember. Since we have a few days, I can try to find the conversation with Flores, when Jodi mentioned the pillow w/the tassel on Travis's chair in the bedroom.

If I have the wrong WS member, please ignore me. :floorlaugh:

I have wondered if there has been evidence, story, testimony about anything that Jodi did FOR anyone else, in the form of benevolence or generosity. Oh, she took pictures at that friend's wedding... ok, now I'm stuck.
That friend's dad had to pay for JA's round trip ticket AND her bridesmaid dress to get her to even show up.
NO benevolence or genorosity there... she was taking wedding pictures for attention.
imo

Re-watching JM's first closing argument. The part where Juan says she sounded like a screetching cat or something like that has me :floorlaugh: so much. He has no love lost for her...or ALV for that matter.

I hope the jury returns a verdict of guilty.

With Nurmi changing the defense to a "crime of passion" at the last minute there is no chance, in my opinion of an acquittal. The question would be what is the guilty verdict for - manslaughter, 2nd degree murder or 1st degree murder?

MOO

Didn't DeMarte say that Jodi's IQ was 119?

I forgot about the feline family members I reside with. When Donovan moves out eventually, Cleo and Midnight can kill rodents if they decide to invade my house.

Especially when they have a sugar daddy to sponge off of.
even better point. Why save for the future when you are pretty certain you can go from man to man (or woman to woman for other people).

BBM ~ And don't forget grinding.

That is so disgustingly repulsive, I could yack all over my computer. Hours after you butcher someone to death, you are climbing all over someone else. I swear I want a DNA test on this chick- I am not convinced she's human.
