I'm too scared to sleep tonight ... 9am Arizona time is 2am here, last week I missed nearly all of Nurmi (but that was a blessing). I thought I'd trained myself to wake up at 2am on trial days .. I do not want to miss it when they come back with a verdict and I think they could come back any time from 3am onwards here!

Mrs Norris being a fellow Aussie I am always wondering when you sleep....

I'm curious what people think of Jodi taking the stand. I lean towards she insisted, because she's sooo smart don't you know!! And I'm sure Wilma and Nurmi didn't think they had a choice...because of evidence AND the narcissist stomping her feet.

:jail::jail::jail:

Good Morning all!!!!!!!

Tell me, why do I have to work????? I do not want to miss anything and am afraid I am going to. Let the bells ring for justice and for Travis!

Morning Farm! Morning everyone!

I have the same problem....I'm taping HLN all day and I'll monitor Websleuths from work.

I'm in Texas, so court my time is like 11:00 to 6:30. I'm always home by 4:30.

I hope they return the verdict today.

There will be time between the announcement and the reading, maybe an hour or so. So, I'll either be home for the reading or watch it taped when I get home. I want to see her FACE when they convict her of murder one (whether it's today or two weeks from today).

Good Morning my fellow Sleuthers!!!!!!! I'm just waiting for the verdict that Juan requesting!!!!!!!! Juan will get his verdict!!!!!!

~*~Justice for Travis~*~

I have no idea except I think maybe also that she insisted because-------

NO JURY WILL EVER CONVICT ME.:seeya:

Me too.

I have my VCR (yes,,,,,,VCR) locked & loaded & ready to Record the infamous moment when the Verdict is announced: Guilty, Murder in the First Degree. :jail:

Hey there, Dum Dum:

JA may go all Bundy on us at that moment---if so, please share with us your recording, ok?

TIA!

I have butterflies in my stomach. It's 11:13 am here but I can imagine there's many people esp on the other side of the pond waking up every hour or two wondering if it's time yet.

I think It makes it worse we have to wait until 5pm for them to start deliberations...in those hours thats when my mind starts wandering to 'omg what if they cant see it? What if she is acquitted'

I try and busy myself to not think about it and the past four days have been a welcome distraction...obviously dont wish my little one had been in hospital but you know what I mean....I hope:eek:

Yes and even though it's a holiday, I 'can't' do anything till 5 and then I won't want do anything. Part of this plan needs to change. She won't be acquitted. Not going to happen.

How is the little one doing?

I checked the minutes for ja case. 2nd minute thingies down it has 3 employees for Gilbert AZ ...one is a policeman from city of Gilbert. This is city where juror 11 got his DUI. Interesting to me because minutes were for may 3. He was discharged from jury around April 26. Something is going on there.

Has this been discussed? Sometimes I miss a few pages.

Before any rumors get started it was Juror 8 with the DUI, not Juror 11.
There is no indication this is regarding the dismissed juror or not IMO.

If this is the minutes you are speaking of, May 3 is the date it was e-filed.
The minutes were from a status conference on April 30, 2013.

Good morning, Sluthers!! I really think we will get a verdict today! I am refusing to allow any negitive thoughts in!! It won't be a repeat of Flordia. Today Travis will finally get justice!!

:fence:

Just sharing some thoughts here... I don't understand why some THs are taking the position that this was EITHER a premeditated killing OR a heat of passion killing, but it can't be both. I believe that in JA's case, it most certainly CAN be BOTH!

IMO, the May 26, 2008 texts from TA in which he finally told her what he really thinks of her (such as "you're a sociopath" and "you're the worst thing that ever happened to me") set the premeditation in motion. On May 28, she staged the "burglary" at her grandparents house, where a 25 caliber pistol "just coincidentally" goes missing, while other guns and other valuables are inexplicably left behind. She already had a big sharp knife that she used in her tire slashing sprees. Does it really matter which weapon she used first, in order for the murder to be premeditated? (And THs who argue that "nobody steals a gun, then uses a knife first" seem to forget that JA is not a reasonable, rational person.)

And who's to say she didn't PLAN to give him one last chance to take her back before deciding to go ahead with the murder? It's clear to me that there's proven premeditation, AND she could have "snapped", becoming violently enraged when he ultimately rejected her.

And as I've previously stated, the argument that "it's too chaotic in nature to have been premeditated" is a bunch of hooey, too. She probably planned to inflict all the injuries in the shower (Hitchcock style), but had to improvise when Travis somehow managed to get out of the shower after the initial injury. She didn't PLAN for it to be so messy, IMO.

IF, by some remote chance, a juror doesn't think she planned the murder ahead of time, there's enough thoughtful intent to kill between the first injury (regardless of whether it was inflicted with a gun or a knife) and the final slitting of his throat. Legally, premeditation can happen in a matter of seconds. I hope & pray the jurors remember that during their deliberations!

And P.S.: The DT did NOT prove she murdered him in self defense. The 9 stab wounds to his back, and the defensive wounds on his hands clearly showed that Travis was the one in self defense mode, not Jodi. All the allegations of sexual deviance and domestic abuse don't change the facts on the autopsy report. :moo:

She had to take the stand. There was no proof that it was self-defense, no witnesses.

So glad she is okay. Little people heal quickly but she sounds like she's done amazingly well.

I am now going to be productive for 4.5 hours. Wish me luck!
