BBM

That was actually L. Kirk Nurmi's point.

That Chris and Sky Hughes told JA and TA that Travis HAD mistreated women in the past.

Chris and Sky maintain that the context was that mistreatment = failure to commit.

And we can see what the lying torture murderess did when TA failed to commit to her.

Right, but who did they find to come forward and say "Travis abused me" other than JA? NO ONE. Because I dont believe that they are out there.

2 hours and twenty minutes left for today's deliberations...
Oh the multi tasking a mother could get done in that time frame. The reason I am so hopeful about a verdict today is the unique circumstance of the jury being allowed to ask questions. Also, most matters were went over, and over and over in this case. I do not see how there could be confusion like in Casey's case. The jury instructions seem so much more straight forward here too, and they did not have Cheney's chart. l loved the "firmly convinced' explanation and that the jury instructions literally say very few things in life can one over be one hundred percent certain of. That is not the standard, to be convinced beyond ANY doubt ( which is what Cheney's chart implied, imo ). The standard is firmly convinced. I think that is a lot easier for even the less learned of the group to get. I do think they had the weekend for soul searching, and today they are just going over things , in a perfunctory manner. I think each one of them walked in there today, ready to cast their vote.

I'm looking forward to Sky and Chris on Dr. Drew.
Does anyone know if that weird press conference Jodi did in the jail garb was shown to the jury? I had never seen that before today. Did I see the date on it correctly, September? Wouldn't that have been long after her Ninja story on day two? ( I haven't followed the case from jump, so forgive me, if this is elementary.) :scared::scared:

O/T Judge B Perry is going to be on Nancy Grace tomorrow.

That is such a great observation, I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned by the prosecution. Judging from their questions they don't miss much. Between 12 people I'm sure someone has or will bring this up. It's kind of a minor detail at this point, but just further proves the lies never end.
I very distinctly heard Juan discuss the lack of blood anywhere in the house outside the master suite and how she ditched the bloody socks during closing arguments. There was no blood in the bedroom itself. He disputes the existence of the rope, but said if there had been a rope in the bedroom that she scooped up, why was there no blood on the carpet? He also brought up the lack of blood on the bottle of Clorox.

Just heard a great point on HLN via JVM. In regards to the "fog", there was no blood on the light switches, washer/dryer knobs, doorknobs, rental car steering wheel etc., yet she claims when she came out of her fog, her hands were covered in blood. Doesn't make sense. Hope the jury picks up on this. I want them to realize how much she has lied to them.

Yes! that bit of info and... Why not shoot him with the gun first - well the gun was loud and the knife was not. And of course she couldn't shoot him in bed or when she first 'snuck' in because the one roommate was still home.

WHAT IS THE HOLD UP :(

Even if the jury has already decided that she is guilty of 1st degree murder
They would still have decide of it is premeditated or felony or both.

No, it doesn't have to be unanimous but it would be sweet if it came back

Premeditated 12
Felony 12

I am of the believe they are just discussing the facts.

I have faith in this jury and I will continue to unless and until i hear a not guilty.

Thank you for this. I did not realize that that could be the hold up. Patience has never been my strong suit and I was worrying that they might be considering a lesser charge. :seeya:

It's enough for me she plans a road trip, goes all the way through California, all the way through the State of Arizona, all the way through the State of Utah, all the way through the State of Nevada and back into California and up to Yreka and god love her? She has transactions in every State she drove through except ARIZONA.

Now who is that D&*(m lucky when accidently finding yourself having killed someone to say "you know, crap? I don't think I got a burger or a Starbucks or Gas in Arizona, I will mosey on home and head to work and see where the chips fall on that one.. How lucky am i?"

I read that in Arizona the jury receives wage reimbursement up to a verified $300 a day for extended trials such as this one. So they receive more than the normal $12 a day for a shorter trial.

I sat on a jury in Texas for a week and was paid $7 a day.

Same here in TX for 2 weeks--did not even cover parking in the garage next to the courthouse. Could park blocks away for $5.

Of course they aren't.

And he didn't physically harm Jodi, either.

He didn't hit, slap, punch, kick, or body-slam her.

But that won't keep her from lying about it to save her sorry keister.

The CA verdict made me physically sick, I couldn't eat for two days -- and that's saying something!

Yeah me too it devastated me! I swore I'd never follow another trial. Ciindy reminds me of Jodie's mom.

I know this is a dumb question but....

I'm trying to sign up for text alert at WAT but every time I enter 33733 into the text number to call, it auto-inserts a hyphen after the 7 (like if it was storing a 7 digit phone number) and then it can't be sent. I don't have a smart phone, just the old kind.

Does anybody know what I mean and if there's any way to do it or any email verdict alerts?

Thanks!

In a lengthy trial the jurors can apply for up to $300/per day but they have to provide proof of lost income. So if they make $100/per day working they can apply for the lost $88/per day (their lost pay minus the $12 they are receiving per day) per the AZ Jury Duty video

Thank God for that! I hope their employers give them the time they need to decompress from all they've had to go through over the last 4 months.

She did two interviews. One for Inside Edition and one for 48 hours. She was in prison garb for one of them but I can't remember for which one...I think you'll find the links for both of these interviews in the media/timeline thread or in the first or second post of each thread.
