I really don't and won't pay any attention to JA's twitter or her psycho attention-seeking behaviours. It's like trying to understand a clinically deranged person or looking through the trash can to find fresh dew roses. I just want the murder one guilty verdict and to see her get the death penalty. She can try to manipulate the world all she wants but the reality is she will rot on death row.

Why would anyone who was a victim of DV wear such a shirt?????? I would think you would want to forget you were ever in such a relationship not to be constantly reminded by a shirt you would wear to give power back to your abuser. Survivor reeks of ....... I was a victim. Part of healing is saying I am no longer a victim, I took my power back. Part of taking your power back is being able to feel normal again. Personally I don't even think ALV would agree with these shirts as they would advertise the fact that this woman is, in fact, in a vulnerable place and could be re-victimized.

Jodi has no idea what it feels like to be a victim.

I have been a victim of domestic violence on many levels and I would never wear a survivor shirt advertising such. The only survivor shirt I would wear would be like I survived the Heat wave of 2010 or I survived the ski mountain or maybe some type of joke shirt or one regarding the tv show survivor.. I would however be ok with a shirt that had a ribbon on it as I wear the breast cancer ribbons and have a columbia coat with the ribbon built in, as in that way I support them but noone has to know if I have it or if I am just a supporter.

I have always assumed that the horrid neck would was when he was crawling like a beaten dog toward the bedroom, and she may have straddled him (if she could) and grabbed him roughly by his hair (this is the most likely) and pulled his head back as far as possible (thus tightening his front neck area for good "traction") and started from his right neck area, since she was left-handed, and sliced as deeply and as strongly as she could.

I also think she stole a boning knife or a chopping knife (not serrated, but you would know much better than I) from a chef's supplies wherever she had worked, and took it with her. She prolly wrapped it in a hand towel or an empty paper towel holder -- thin cardboard -- to put in her purse or a backpack. She didn't want to cut herself, ya know.

That's what makes the most sense and that's what would make the wound so deep and almost immediately deadly and so horribly painful and cruel. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

No doubt in my mind -- same as you, I think.

I totally agree and have always thought this.

I'm naturally suspicious of charmers, especially those trying to sell me something. Juan Martinez doesn't rely on charm at all. In fact, it's almost like he goes out of his way not to people-please. He exudes passion, intelligence, integrity, and a clear sense that he's not trying to fool anyone.

I thoroughly agree LambChop, I was a victim. Not any longer, for a long time, decades now. The only people/reason to wear a "Survivor" shirt, imo would be for cancer, p e r i o d. Or surviving menopause (joking) LOL:floorlaugh:

i can't believe the day is finally here that the jurors will have the chance to deliberate.

this is my first experience with watching a complete trial on TV...it has been beyond riviting, yet at the same time often frustrating and infuriating! on more than one occassion my kids remarked, "mom why are you screaming at the TV?"

I don't believe the jury will take too long to deliberate. either today or tomorrow is my guess. one reason i feel this way is b/c of juror questions. i'm sure that without the benefit of juror questions, most head into deliberations feeling as if certain aspects of the case weren't adequately presented, leaving them confused on critical points.

juror questions also allow each juror to either reinforce, or as i believe in this case, dispell the idea of reasonable doubt. juan was very smart to reiterate more than once what constitutes circumstantial evidence. nurmi tried to argue during his closing that the premediation aspects of jodi's actions amount to circumstantial evidence. however, in this case, even if one were to considered certain things as circumstantial, there are too many of them to ignore. as ALV repeated ad nauseam, "its the totality of the situation Mr. Martinez, its the big picture. THERE IS A PATTERN." and dont'cha know? she's right!

as for JA's attempt to "look good" via her new DV cause, its pathetic. i'm sure the strategy is to present this during the mitigation stage, and i'm sure the jurors will notice the timing and find it extremely suspect!

i don't see how they use it for mitigation. by then, the jury will have convicted her of first degree murder, proving they do not believe she's a victim of abuse. if anything, this scheme proves what a shameless liar she is.

Not so much scary as infuriating; the mouse saga happened at midnight and my husband slept through the whole thing. The snake saga was in the afternoon and when I yelled at my husband to come help me, he stood behind me, white as a sheet, frozen. I've had a lifelong phobia of snakes, but guess who had to corral the beast?! lolz

P.S. Juan Martinez would have had the snake running for cover!

This is what worries me. The jury has been doing it's duty for so very long now. I don't know about AZ, but in my state it's not mandatory that company's pay their employee's for serving jury duty. The company for whom I work does not. I was recently called for State Grand Jury which was 19 weeks, one day a week. I could not afford to do that, I had to claim hardship.

Does anyone know what AZ's law is regarding pay and Jury duty?

Juries on long-term trials (more than 5 days, iirc) can be compensated up to $300/day (also iirc). There was quite a bit of discussion about it here a while ago, so I'm sure someone will correct me if I have the details wrong but I think they're correct or close. My guess is that they can recover whatever they would be making at their everyday job. I believe the employer doesn't have to compensate them but does need to hold their position. I don't know if it must be held indefinitely though.
