Um, no, not yet. They haven't even found her guilty!!!

They are expressly not to deliberate with respect to or with regard to her potential sentence.
This is the guilt phase only.

I am going crazy. Why is this taking so long?????
They Jury is very aware that if they go with Murder in the First Degree, they will be in charge of whether she lives or dies. I know what phase of the trial we are in thanks :)

And mumble things like "still hate me?" and giggle ominously.

:floorlaugh: and doing headstands against the wall ... flipping her hair around and checking her make-up ...

:floorlaugh:

I had that problem once too. One of the awesome mods (Beach I think), advised me to empty my browser cache (and maybe cookies too?). It worked and I haven't had any problems ever since.

When you sign in, check the box that says "remember me"

Does anyone know the answer to this?
Those poor three alternate jurors that have to wait in a separate room after hearing all that evidence - are they able to discuss the case among themselves, or do they still have to remain mute about the case.
I feel really bad for them. And I hope we'll find out what they would have voted.

ANOTHER THING
I think we owe a huge debt of gratitude to the three jurors that have left the trial.
They were under no gag order, and could have made a ton of money from interviews, yet they remained silent. Kudos to them.

According to Beth, Juror 9 - Willy, is the one wearing shorts and the "loner" that reporters have been talking about.

Temptation to post apple graphic... high.

Realizing consequences of lagging the site down... high.

High five to me, I'm that much closer to Einstein!

HLN is making me loopy.

The mitigation specialist was interesting to note today...Jurors not dressed up though. Casual per Beth today.

The Jury is in Deliberations again woot!

I guess she's free to practice her yoga and singing?

And come up with some clever tweets for tonight (she would need to memorize them since she doesn't have a writing implement).

She can create new defenses for the next trial if this jury turns out to hang.

What else can Jodi do in the basement with nothing to stimulate her?

What's that mean 2 jurors left with a Marshall? Verdict maybe? God I hope, I'm physically sick....can't eat, can't sleep.that poor family.

A smoke break...2 or 3 of them smoke.

God bless Beth Karras' calm, level headed graciousness.

Still no verdict.

I have faith in the jury that they will agree on the right verdict for Travis and his family.

Justice for Travis!

This is amazing to know that JA has nothing and I Mean nothing but her two hands to distract her during this wait. I'm glad to know she has nothing to pass the time. I hope she is scared to her marrow right now; I do.

OK with all this talk of a smoke... (lights up) :)

Me too ...

I think you're right about her still believing no jury will convict her. She's uber-confident and I imagine the longer deliberations go on, the happier she is. I just read Nurmi's motion requesting the state to consider second degree / manslaughter and it is rife with overconfidence.

I have a nagging feeling, even if she is found guilty 1st degree, she won't be phased because she'll be confident it'll be overturned on appeal. I don't expect to see much reaction from her if the jury comes back G1.

BBM

I agree. I think when she hears the verdict, she'll turn to JW and smile as she exclaims, "I told you so!" Probably wag her finger in a mock scolding gesture. She'll probably immediately start chatting with JW - something about getting busy with her appeals. She HAS to know it all.

I still hate those automatic, State- funded appeals. Something for the monster to controll and look forward to. I think life in general poulation, in prison would be the worse punishment for this one. She won't get any appeals without paying for it herself and I don't think her garden-variety-murderer status is really going to bring any jailhouse art sales. I want her to SEE herself the way everyone else sees her. I want her to SEE how evil I think she is.

Someone on that jury must believe that Travis owned a 25 auto!!!!!!

Not one shred of evidence was presented at the trial to support that (other than Jodi's claims which are contradicted by her previous claims to Flores). Only evidence to the contrary came in.

But we know for absolute certainty that Jodi had access to a 25 auto and that it went missing just SIX days before she shot him in the head with one. It should not be taking this long!

More guests than members on the board.

What do we know that the jury don't?

1. Interrogation tapes (majority of content)
2. JA's parents tapes
3. JA kicking/killing doggy boy
4. Chris Hughes stories
5. ?

I'm sure there's much more

  • the forged pedo letters that were not allowed in as evidence
  • her plea deal which was essentially blackmail
