I know we're all a bunch of frayed nerves at this point. But, if you can, try and bear in mind that the jurors (assuming they have been following the admonition) don't know as much about this case as we do. They haven't been listening to Dr. Drew and his "behavior bureau" and NG's "Bombshells" and VP's "Bold Accusations" for months on end. Let's try and relax and see it from their point of view. Also, even though JA is evil, she is still a human being, and if I were in a position of potentially deciding that she should be killed (I know that this isn't the penalty phase, you know what I mean), I would want to make sure that I had looked at everything carefully. Simply for my own peace of mind.

Nurmi stated a couple times that she was standing while TA was sitting in the shower. He also suggested that because she was standing she would have to stab in an upward thrust. I guess he was trying to suggest that it would be awkward to do so BUT meanwhile, JA had said several times and on the stand that she was crouching when TA was sitting in the shower, and remember, he supposedly picked her up from a crouching position to so-call body slam her. Big discrepancy there between defendant and DT. I wonder if Nurmi got the idea that she was standing from the "figure" in the eye of TA - if indeed that was a reflection of JA - as that depiction showed JA standing, not crouching.
Yep - he lied. And he lied again when he said JA could have returned the gas can to another store. Are we really to believe he doesn't know what his client said on the stand?
Duh nurmi

I'm back! I heard that Jodi put pork rinds on her commissary list and she was all whiny and sniffly on twitter about not getting them ...so I went out and bought up all the ding dang pork rinds in all of Maricopa County!

I don't eat pork rinds.

I have a question. I saw a couple posts that indicated that Nurmi was trying to pull a fast one about Jodi returning the gas can to a different Walmart in Salinas. We know she said she returned it to the one she bought it at. We were able to go back and watch it on tape. However, the Jury is instructed to recall the testimony. My question is.....if they don't remember exactly what she said, can they request the transcript of Jodi's testimony where she said that? If they can go back and look at evidence, then they should be able to request testimony as well, right?

I wonder why the court employee who was inaccurately reported to be juror #16 appeared upset. I hope she is having an ok day so far.

Just came across 'Defendant's Settlement Conference Memorandum". July, 2011
If you missed it, it's worth a raised eyebrow or two. Einstein, she's not!

And here I thought we were finally going to get the word on interdimensionality and the coexistence of space time continua within an as yet described intraplanar quantum anomaly. Oh well, guess we'll have to settle for bad Elvis drawings.

I copied and brought this over from the last thread, since the door closed just after I posted it. Sorry to be redundant, but I think it's important.

I know that people are understandably upset with the Arias family. Some of their behavior has been very strange. But, as the CNN article "A Killer in the Family", linked and partially quoted below points out, they have been through something unimaginable too. I hope we can muster up some compassion for them and take the high road. We have not walked in their shoes. JMO

"Michael Price, a professor of evolutionary moral psychology at Brunel University in London, said people are hardwired to defend their kin, like Moore did before she realized her father's guilt.
'There will be strong psychological and emotional incentives to defend and remain loyal to the family member, and to delude and self-deceive themselves about the reality of their relative's guilt,' Price said."

But that is what JA said. She looked at the blood on her hands and knew he was dead.

Glad you brought up the blood on the hands. To me this is one of the most absurd proclamations by the killer - she knew something bad happened when she saw the blood on her hands as she exited her "fog" in the car, in the desert. Silly, silly, silly. No blood found in that house other than upstairs in Travis' living space. Did she magically float down to the washer and out the door with blood on her hands ? That is some crazy stuff, and saying she didn't really know he was dead, beyond belief. Looney toons...
