<modsnip>

I am bothered by the number of men on the case too.

Sex still sells. Some guys think with the wrong head....IMHO

.....but then I also hope that these Men realize (the single ones) they could be the next TA out there with some Sicko girlfriend down the road

I do wish there were more women on the panel....IMHO

Either way (female or male juror) Travis did not deserve to die..even if he did yell at her for dropping the camera (which I do not believe it happened).

Also IMHO......JA lies..........so I as Juror would throw out her words and anyone associated with her.

MOO...always MOO

Stereotypes aside, I doubt any male jurors will think they will get any "action" from JA if they turn her free.

IMO, this is how a jury should deliberate. They're taking their time and trying to get it right. The KC case had sequestered their jury and they just wanted to get the hades out of there. I think not sequestering this jury has made a very positive effect. JMO

One more thing. You have to remember they can only deliberate on what they know, not what we know.

I agree Steely, as much as I want to her the guilty verdict of M1 I will wait

Is there any way to stay signed on WS?

I get up to stretch, get a drink, rub my callused mouse finger, come back and I'm signed off.

There is an option (a box to check) when you sign in. IIRC, it is a "Remember Me?" option. Click that.

Was that by any chance a mock letter Village?
:floorlaugh:

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Wanna to make sure people knew it was MOCK as you know how stories get changed. Did not want someone to post on FB saying it WAS a letter from JA Mom.

Just do not want any false issues getting out there.....MOO

OMG... seriously... we have breaking news on HLN... they have broken for lunch. JC is talking about a juror having a diet coke.

My husband came running up to yell this at me.

I banged my head on my desk.

Breaking news: My desk isn't broken. Not so sure about noggin.

  • #249
OK with all this talk of a smoke... (lights up) :)

  • #250
I can't believe that HLN thinks jurors being escorted out for things like having a cig or getting a soda is something to tweet about. Good grief. I guess at this point though there's nothing else to tweet about.

*sigh*

Jean C reporting 3 more jurors escorted to elevator.

More sodas? Butterfinger from vending machine? Smoke break?

I don't think 9 plus hours of deliberation is indicative of a hold out. Rather, I think the jurors are going over a mountain of evidence and when they are finished they will have a verdict and begin the final steps toward fulfilling their duty/obligation.

Something else that's crossed my mind is precisely because the jurors hold Jodi Arias's life in their hands ... A life that was given to her by a mother who has been in court every day ... I think they are showing reverence for the sanctity of all life before reaching their verdict.

Excellent post.....mirrored my thoughts exactly.

Thanks for your post. A jury is a dice roll for both sides, and especially these days, I think. Our society has taken a bad turn the last 40ish years. From the move away from critical thinking, (or any thinking at all), to making an excuse or rationalization for many types of bad/criminal/uncivil behavior-that's my jaded take on things. I know that while I once wanted to be on a jury because I am fascinated by the law, I want nothing to do with it now. Like you, I'd go for a bench trial if I was wrongly accused of anything.

I hope this is a good jury who doesn't think CSI and Law and Order are real. I hope they didn't buy any part that unethical and ridiculous defense. I hope, being in the same room with her, that they saw JA for what she is (the opposite of a victim).

Praying for justice. :twocents::twocents:

your post reflects my very thoughts right now. i served on 2 grand juries and was disheartened over the inability of people to put things together and all we did was establish whether there was probable cause!!

there was one woman who refused to vote to indict on ANY domestic abuse cases because she said her son had been falsely accused of it, and she would never do that to someone else. we couldn't get rid of her either.

i'm not giving up on this jury but if it's a compromise verdict or a hung jury, i may have to find a new hobby!!

I HAD to post this - I hope no one else beat me to it. Saw it on the Justice for Travis facebook page:

Bathroom break? or is there a bathroom in the jury room?
I think there is. It's a brand-new building and well designed.

  • #257
Of course they'll break for lunch a little later HLN!!

not exactly a bunch of Einsteins at HLN!!:floorlaugh:

the only consolation for this "longer-than-I-expected" deliberation is that Jodi has to stay in her holding cell!

Whew.When hhn broke that I thought, oh no. mistrial.

#jodiarias jury report: 12:50 Jurors 2 & 9 return to jury room with soda in hand. Both appear pretty somber.

In other words, the machine was out of Coke, so they had to buy diet.
