I've probably watched that Travis memorial video on the first page of the threads 10-12 times. On the video, the two people I could tell that Travis loved were Deanna Reid and Chris Hughes. Just look at how they look at each other and hug each other. Travis and Deanna and Travis and Chris just looked like they belonged together. Travis was lucky to have had both of them in his life.

I just adore Deanna, from what I have seen. Obviously, I do not really know her. She grabbed my heart more than any other figure in this trial. I wish we could turn back time and that Travis and Deanna could have made a life together. She was perfect for him. :(.

I agree. But I wonder why TA did not want to marry her? That is what the jury heard from her. She said he was not ready for marriage. They are not listening to Dr. Drew.

True the jury did not hear this, sadly. You asked why TA didn't want to marry her. She answered that by saying he had commitment issues from his childhood :(

During the Casey Anthony trial I was in the middle of a huge project at work and couldn't follow closely. I remember people loving the prosecution but I don't recall what the general feelings were on the jury. I'm a little nervous today and can't help comparing it to that crazy jury. For the people who followed the CA trial, can you remember what the general consensus was on the probable outcome during the deliberations? Were posters skeptical that the wrong verdict would be found?

I followed Caylee from the minute I heard she was missing ,read every document. I watched every minute of the trial as did my husband ,son and his girlfriend. We made fun of Baez and his 3 stooges show he put on. I thought Jeff and Linda did a fantastic job. I was brought to my knees when the verdict was given. Shocked to my core I still do not understand her getting off not even a lesser charge.Something we did not have that we did in this trial was our jury watchers. The people Katie,Pasa and others who have watched them intently and telling us what they saw.Plus AZ has the jury questions which have IMO been mostly for JM side and not the defense. This jury has seen the horrific damage that in 62 seconds this maniac inflicted on her victim, she also admitted to killing him and her story changed within minutes when she was on the stand. She said one thing ten minutes later she said a different lie.The jury sees how deeply his family is pained by Travis s murder.Caylee really had no one who sat in court from her own family that was there just for the victim Caylee. Her own grand parents sold her out in that court room. This jury has seen jodi in action,Casey played her act until the jury was out of the room, jodi's showed herself at times in that court room. I have faith this jury will get it right ! I am praying they do :please:Travis needs to be able to RIP,justice has been a long time coming to him and to his family.

I realize this is the wrong thread, and I'm sorry - but I have a question!

Isn't there an Amanda Knox interview on tonight somewhere? What time! What network? I can't seem to find it! Anyone?

I think the '12 year old' comment issue is a perfect illustration of how Jodi used small mistakes against good people. Travis made that comment because she DID sound like a 12 year old in that conversation, when he added '.. having her first orgasm' it was a step too far ... Jodi knows it and jumps on it straight away, she got him to repeat it, and is still using it against him 5 years later. She's also MAGNIFIED it .. it went from a stupid comment made late at night, to a recorded comment, to a broadcasted comment .. the comment is HUGE now. Much bigger than it's original intention, and much bigger than it's real value. But Jodi has found a way to make it almost bigger than life and sully the reputation of a good man, who made a stupid comment 5 years ago.

Yes, and we learned from Chris that reading though the thousands of e mails and chats between Jodi and Travis it was JODI who was the freak show, it was just the tip of the ice berg that Jodi introduced him to the K-y. He said in his readings it was clear SHE was introducing him to a lot of nasty stuff that was all new to Travis. We know from her texts that were brought out in trial, it was JODI

telling Travis, she wanted a pounding
she was asking for a well deserved spanking and
SHE was the one asking for him to ejaculate on her face, saying she wanted a nice facial

we know she was the one looking for spots in the woods for them to have sex outdoors

and she was the one recording the sex talk

she was the one in pigtails with her prior boyfriend

we know it was she who had anal sex with each and every one of her prior boyfriends

we know she went and practically had sex with Ryan after murdering Travis

we know from Chris that Jodi came on to Travis' married friends

we know from Abe she was making out with him, on their first date

we know she picked up a guy on the plane after the memorial

we know she was such a pig she was willing to give him bj s in parking lots and have sex with him in other people's homes , when she only knew him a few days

She showed him she was a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and that she was perfectly willing to have him date others while he had her for a booty call. It was how she treated herself. The school girl and French maid outfits were just classic. Those things are mild compared to Playboy mansion parties, that are televised, let alone soft 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

She is the one who went to the store to buy the pop rocks and tootsie pops. She was leading this freak show. That is really, really important to remember.

I do not think anything he was saying was anything he didn't think she wanted him to say. She even mentioned on the stand, that they would try one upping one another, all the time, one getting more explicit than the other, it was a little banter /game they kept going, all fantasy, nothing they were really going to do.

Context in this situation really matters. No way was he into kids. He was just being freaky with her the way a married man may act out sexually with a prostitute or mistress compared to his wife. I think you have it spot on Mrs. Norris.

Yes cnn at 10 or 10:30.

Of course 12-year-old-girls have orgasms (by themselves, hopefully!). Not every one, but it is a completely natural age to masturbate. Hello, puberty means sexual hormones, pretty obviously, right? There is no reason, imho, to act as if a girl that age masturbating would be shameful.

If a girl doesn't feel comfortable about it for herself at that age, that's completely cool, too. But girls enter puberty at young ages, and these things are quite private, so please don't be too quick to think a girl that age having an orgasm would be disgusting. It's well within the range of normal!

I was having quite the affair with me myself and I at that age ... Wasn't everbody? TMI.

I think it was a case of: right girl, wrong time.

While it seems clear from what others said he loved Deanna, at that time he just wasn't ready to marry.

The jury did not see Dr Drew, but they saw an honest (even when it was embarrassing), kind, sweet person who knew Travis very well. She put it on the record that during the entire time they dated Travis never screamed at her, abused her in any way and was a perfect gentleman to her. She also got on the record that while his childhood was difficult, he had many good memories. She also let them know that Travis' dad was getting past his addiction issues before he passed away and Travis loved him. All important (IMO) in combating the BS that the defense said about him.

I'm worried about this jury. they're not being asked to determine sentence. They're being asked to determine "guilty" or not.???

Their questions, for the most part, gave the impression of intelligence. Maybe the stupid one or two just weren't questioning much?

Yes. Having seen that a jury can include 12 stupid people, I wouldn't be surprised if there are one or two on this jury.

moo

Well then we're all going to pray the 2 less intelligent people will see the light when the 10 more intelligent ones walk them through the evidence. Seriously, if this ends in a hung jury, that has already cost AZ $1.7 Million, made Travis' friends and family wait 5 agonizing years and let JA bask in the spotlight in all her horrific evilness...I shudder to think what will happen.

iirc 10:30 pm on CNN (not sure if it's Central or Eastern time)

You'll find that Mrs. G is generally right. Heard "Back in Black" on the way home tonight, Mrs. G -- "Thunderstruck" is up for when the verdict is read... ;)

I got the impression that they didn't marry because he had commitment issues that stemmed from his abusive and neglectful childhood.

This may not make sense to some people, but I can totally relate to how Travis felt. My parents had an awful on again, off again marriage and when they were together they argued constantly, neglected and emotionally abused us kids. Even though I'm a woman - and it's natural for a woman to want to marry and have children - I was SCARED to death to commit to someone when I was younger. I always sabotaged a relationship if I felt it was getting too serious. I cried the night before my wedding - not tears of happiness, tears of fear. Luckily everything worked out (so far - been married for 23 years), but I had a tough time in the beginning. I think Travis was this way.

I don't think that was an issue with TA, because he had asked two other women to marry him (or bought two engagement rings). He just, for some reason, didn't want to marry Deanna. Sorry if I sound sour, I just LOVE her. I would adore her as a daughter-in-law. If I had a son, lol!

HLN After Dark now has married couples on their fake jury, it's like the "The Newlywed Game" with audience laughter.

Remember in her journal she said Travis indicated if he married Jodi he would win the "wife lottery". Gag. Whatever.

I really think that Jodi, in her sick twisted mind, thought she and Travis were going to get married. And the real catalyst for the murder was the realization that nothing she could do would make Travis marry her. With the fact that Travis was taking someone else to Cancun proved he was moving on. When Jodi left Mesa back to CA I don't think she wanted to leave (as evidenced by her car magically breaking down and having to stay with Travis for an extra few days). Jodi had seen the good life. Travis traveled, had a nice house, a nice car etc. Jodi wanted that. She wanted to be Travis' wife and live that good life. I would go a step further as say that she felt that the good life was something she was entitled to have.

BBM: Agree with every word and would like to add that Jodi wanted to be "valued". She thought that being the wife of someone so loved and respected as Travis was would translate to, "Look at me! I'm special because this wonderful man wants me."

Sorry Jodi. It doesn't work that way. Look at you now, forever despised for what you've done. Millions of people are praying for your death. You have no value to the human race.:twocents:

I think as a mother, and in all fairness to the actual truth, I would have to ask my 28 YEAR OLD ADULT DAUGHTER if she possibly egged this on.

I would ask her had she ever told this man in sexual conversations that she wanted to be a 'dirty little school girl' and even dress up as one. If she said she had.. like Arias did.. then I would think perhaps it was she who put this in the mind of the man she talked trash with.

Frankly in February 2008 before the recorded sex tape she was telling him she wanted to be a dirty school girl. Arias trashed talk about bjs and wanting spankings. She isn't some naïve little waif. She is a very sexually experienced woman who uses sex and sex talk as a tool trying to control the man she wants.

In the May 10, 2008 conversation with Travis I think he told her what he knew turned her on.

IMO

BBM. Remember her testimony about him making her dress up like a school girl and insisting she didn't have a schoolgirl costume so she had to pull something together out of her regular clothes? And how humiliated she claimed to be at the pharmacy? Yeah RIGHT! I hardly think that Travis suggested she dress up like that. I am certain I couldn't "pull together" an outfit that resembled a dirty schoolgirl costume out of what is in my closet, and couldn't in college either (I'm close to JA's age). All of my skirts go to my knees or just a few inches above them. Definitely NOT your typical dirty schoolgirl length hem... The fact that she claimed to be a devout Mormon and was so mortified by all of these experiences is laughable considering they were her stupid clothes.
