I caught that too. There was no car in front or in the driveway...I wondered if there was an alley behind Travis's house? Was that ever discussed? Where did she park the white car with no plates on the day she snuck up and murdered him?

We had a stalker for many years. Sometimes we discovered where he parked. (he had several hidden spots) as well as using a taxi at times. Anyway, IMO Jodi had cased the neighborhood, knowing the places to go undetected.
Thats my "lived it victim" opinion.

bbm Yep, me too, ks! The Age of Aquarius & Frank Zappa and Timothy Leary. I saw Led Zepplin live, and Janet, and Jimi, and the Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Beach Boys, The Stones, Leon Russell, the Dead, Dylan, Clapton, and so many more. Never saw The Who or The Doors (pity). AIDS was not a word. All the pot was good; the drugs were pharmaceutical. Peace, Love, and the War in Viet Nam and Nixon. Mostly good times. Been there, done some of that.

I saw The Who live. Alas, I was nine months pregnant with my last child and it was their twenty-fifth anniversary tour. Lol.

He proposed to the girl he was dating between his two relationships with Deanna. So it wasn't that he wasn't ready, IMO. Maybe it was that they had had a physical relationship and TA couldn't see himself married to a non-virgin, even if he were the one to take her virginity? Just a thought.

Maybe it was just simply they loved each other but were .....not in love.... with each other.

Like I said, you're really twisting things. Nobody here on WS is cool with it.

Fruity, you do not speak for WS. There are many threads here on WS (missing persons, cold cases) and I don't think you shoud speak for everyone.

For some reason, I thought the jurors would deliberate for three (3) full days before deciding. Today was day 2 in my mind because I don't count the 55 minutes they got on day one. Now, I think we may not hear anything until Friday.....We left our house today at about 1:30 Arizona time and ran some errands and I wasn't worried at all about missing the verdict. Meanwhile, JA goes to the bunker with no pens or pencils or paper. Nothing. It's my opinion that she may as well get used to that.....

Yes, although I'm thinking Thursday .. only because they are used to not working Friday .. I know that sounds flippant .. but this is like a working week for them now .. I hope they're thorough, but I can't see Murder 2 and hope none of them can either.

ITA~ Negative emotions should be left out. imo We are on verdict watch for Justice for Travis.

I did not take the 12 year old girl comment to mean that TA had any kind of fantasy about 12 year old girls. I use that phrase a lot, like when my boss gets all frustrated and uses that high pitched voice to make a point. To me it means you are coming across as immature. I hate to see all the anger going back and forth between this wonderful WS family. I think the stress of the last four months not ending with a verdict today has made us a bit edgy. JMO

Not sure why, but I agree with you. Was hoping for a quick turnaround considering the mountain of evidence here, but didn't really see that happening. The murder 1 sentence could lead to putting someone to death. There may be some who need extra time to get there.

That said, I hope it's soon. The family deserves a measure of peace once and for all.

I don't get any personal satisfaction out of the thought of her being treated especially harshly by Sheriff Joe, so the :floorlaugh: is lost on me. But even if I did, I don't think she is. She's drawing, selling the drawings, talking on the phone pretty much when she wants, winning turkey dinners at singing competitions and tweeting vicariously with impunity. Seems like Sheriff Joe's not treating her too shabbily. Plus, she probably gets to wear pink a lot of the time.

We are on the same page. I am not laughing at unfair treatment or anything like that. The :floorlaugh: is because IF he limits it to 40 a month, she is under that restriction right now. I think that is fair. (and if you watch the YouTube video filmed inside the Maricopa County Jail you will see that the girls in the "bunkbed" section of the jail get away with FAR MORE than should be allowed in any jail.) I agree that her having singing competitions, access to art supplies, very lax phone restrictions, etc is much more than other prisons allow. (having a relative who due to addiction issues has had several stints in jail or prison gives me far more info than I ever wanted about what is "normal" in a jail/prison setting).

Some are very against Sheriff Joe and say the things he does are against the prisoners "civil rights". I will be the first to admit that I don't have in-depth info on Sheriff Joe. However, the restrictions I have heard that he has on his jails are in no way abusive.
Because of a mention of the "chain gangs" here on WS, I looked up info about them during this trial. What I learned was that the "controversial" chain gangs are VOLUNTARY. No one is "forced" to be on the chain gang, and many choose it as it gets them outside, out of the prison walls, and some like the sense of "service" it gives them. IE: once a month the "chain gang" goes to a local pauper's cemetery and digs the graves for the indigent that need burials. There is an article that includes interviews of some of the women involved and they state it gives them a sense of service and honor to be a part of giving that person their final resting place. IMO

I'll be checking out that thread soon here. I have alot to say about A. Knox. :rocker:

she is innocent. not everyone communicates in a manner that the general public can understand. almost any writer, including this one, will tell you that while it is second-nature to clearly express oneself in written word, it is absolutely petrifying and nearly impossible to express oneself in conversation.

perhaps those who do not believe her should actually read her book. and no, i haven't done so. but i can relate to her awkwardness and also, to many of those things others find so questionable about her behavior.

she is no jodi arias. the mere suggestion is ludicrous. imo.

Actually... my initial prediction was a Wednesday verdict. I thought that was a respectable amount of time to deliver a murder 1 verdict. I don't know why I'm feeling so deflated by today going by without resolution. No drinky tonight because I have to pick my BF up from the airport in an hour ... Maybe THAT'S why...

reminder:scared:

We greatly appreciate what you moderators do here. Today, the general thread was put on lockdown until we read the "Rules". I messed up by quoting an entire article and was later told that we were only allowed to show 10% of articles. I searched WS for the "Rules" for about 15 minutes and couldn't find them. I know I read them many years ago when I first joined, but if y'all could make the rules more visible to us to help ourselves, that would be good. :seeya:

I dont like that. Why is there any reason to laugh? really? yes I know they have lives.

Maybe they had been talking about JA's self defense claim, I find that laughable!:floorlaugh:

Why does Dr. Drew pronounce Mark Eiglarsh like a pirate? Mark ArrrghArrrgh.

It's very distracting.

Edited to add ... maybe it's just the wine. G'night. lol

OH I agree! I just watched it .. the interviewer was harsh to her and she handled it very well .. I feel for her, and I do NOT want her to return no matter what happens. Thread link: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159603&page=28

Deanna Ried interview on DD about to come on again. A little off subject but everyone should have a will. Don't put it off, and don't just tell someone your wishes. Probate is an expensive nightmare. Nobody likes thinking about it, but if you care about your loved ones it is one of the best things to do to protect them.

How's your day?

I think of you and your son every day. I am not a praying person, but I am sending you every ounce of healing thoughts I can send.

Sorry for OT. But Rosemary, you are loved.

Hey there Frayed :seeya: We are at the hospital for his 2nd round of chemo. Last night was rough on him. He just sat in the bed and cried. I feel so hopeless....not knowing what to say to him. Thank you Frayed, it really means a lot!

He is finally resting.

Has this been discussed? Deanna said when she went to Travis' house she was surprised to see Jodi there. She smelled the cookies baking.....but there was no car in the driveway So, where was she parking her car when was sneaking around Travis' house? This is exactly what she did the day she killed Travis. Seems like she had a lot of practice at this!

Deanna also said that JA was sitting on the sofa with his laptop!

I am focusing on re-watching the testimony of the JA trail tonight.

Ok, I gotta say I'm just so disappointed. I wasn't home all day, so I recorded HLN and avoided any internet news so that I wouldn't see the verdict if it came today, which I was sure it was. I just fast forwarded through everything on HLN today and.....NOTHING. Clock said 13:30 at the end of the day.
For God's sake...what could be taking so long??? All they have to do is calculate and analyze gas receipts from Arco, calculate and analyze gas receipts from Tesoro and look at Jodi's testimony regarding the gas cans. Let's say for calculations I'll give them 1 hour to calculate and discuss, give them another hour to go through their notes/Jodi's testimony...2 HOURS BAM DONE. What is so complicated about this?? It does not take 13 hours and counting to do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She slaughtered an unarmed man (using NG's words)...this verdict is not rocket science. I told my sister that this woman/hyena stabbed a guy 27 (29?) times and slit his throat and shot him and says she can't remember it now...my sister did not hesitate and said no way no possible, how can someone not remember that? She's lying.
I am really really worried now. It does not take 13 hours to do this. I think they are over-analyzing things. If you tell anyone on the street what happened, they will give you a verdict in one minute, and it will be the CORRECT verdict.

Does it make me a bad person if I do? Her arrogance is just infuriating to me. The tweets ... the laughing in court... All of it. I do get some relief thinking her life sucks. I hate to see anyone enjoy life in any way shape or form after they took another for no good reason.
