Good evening everyone! Haven't been able to post much. But I follow all day.
So here's my 2 cents. Jadi and Travis had a sex life. So what?
As in most relationships, sometimes they argued. So what?
Jodi apparently also stalked Travis. What?
Travis was stabbed in the heart. What?
Travis was practically decapitated. What?
Travis was shot thru his brain. What?
There was no DV, no crime of passion.
There was an extremely cruel and intentional murder! And 3 times at least to make sure Travis was murdered!!!
Murder 1 premeditated!
And I haven't even mentioned the stolen gun, rented car, gas cans, died hair, etc.
Any way we look at there is premeditated murder! Again and again and again!
There is no way in heck she was evergoing to leave his home without him being dead first!

You are REALLY twisting things here.

I think I am not the one twisting things here. Please go read the "Crimes Against Children" forum. It is full of stories about adults who had fantasies about having sex with children.

You will see how "harmless" it is. These children are destroyed!!!! And those are the ones that are lucky enough to live!

It is sick and dangerous.

Good night. :(

It was your post. Go edit or delete. TIA

How do I make it smaller.............as before I posted it I DID HIT my CONTROL BUTTON plus the (-) button as that makes any pic smaller on your computor, so i RESIZED it on my computor before I posted

So can someone else make that pic smaller for me..........it is such a nice pic of TRAVIS....that I HATE to remove it.

So if someone can make it smaller there on the post and leave it there....as I am here for Justice For Travis...and that is what the pic was. I did proeview it before hand.

So please help me edit it...but please do not remover such a lovely pic of TA

TIA

In case it eases anyone's mind, I was on a jury for a three-month murder trial and we were given three options of sentence: 2nd degree, voluntary manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter.

At one time or another we voted and had a majority for each of the three verdicts and it took a total of five days to reach a unanimous consensus.

We ended up convicting the defendant of the highest count (2nd degree) available to us.

There really is no way to second-guess what the Arias jury is doing or how they are leaning.
Exactly.

As I've said a few times today, the questions that the jury asked show clearly, imo, that they get it. Taking their time to go over everything and talk after they've been side by side for months is not unreasonable. It's only been 14 hours. If one or two people are leaning towards murder 2, the people who wrote the questions will NOT settle for anything less than murder 1. They're confident enough to mock Jodi and ALV in their questions, which means they won't be convinced that it was anything less than a planned slaughter.

For what it's worth, here is my take on Travis' 12-year-old-girl comment:

It was his way of letting Jodi know her voice didn't sound like her normal voice. IMO, initially it was not so much to say he liked how she sounded, but more of a why-do-you-sound-like-that? or, are-you-aware-that-you-sound-like-that? And then it just sort of blended in with the rest of the role-playing. Role-playing that they both did from time to time, most likely. Only this time she taped it, without him knowing, and she got him to say things and/or repeat things because of what she hoped to do with that recording.

All JMO.

That's the most logical explanation I've heard yet. Too bad he didn't say she sounded like a screeching cat instead. No wait---then we'd have people saying someone should have called the ASPCA immediately because he had an abnormal view of cats.

I'll read the Crimes against Children forum after you read the words people are saying without twisting them into something they're not.

NOBODY HERE IS DEFENDING SEXUAL ABUSE OR THE RAPE OF CHILDREN.

May I have a healthy glug of your Johnny?

My mind is reeling with what people will defend just to be "right".

I need alcho-ma-hol.

jumping off of your post: all opinions are welcome here as long as they meet our terms of service. If anyone has an issue with a post ALERT IT... do not respond and that includes in roundabout ways. We are on verdict watch.. so now is a good time to go back and rewatch testimony you have missed.. or go catch the raw interrogation video.:seeya:

I can't think WHAT they could be disagreeing about - it's the most cut and dried case IMO.. :blushing:

They owe the public a careful review of all the evidence. This is their sacred public duty and they want to do a good job. It is for the best, since the length of deliberation cannot be used to infer jurors forming an opinion before deliberations. So it's all good.

After thinking it over, I think the most compelling argument Nurmi made in his closing is to question why Jodi waited to kill Travis. Why didn't she kill him while he slept, etc. Never before have I heard a defense which questioned the timing of a murder as having any connection to premeditation. This is creativity at its best in the legal profession -- creating a cause-and-effect where none existed. He suggests that if there were premeditation, she would have wanted to execute it immediately and be on her way. That is an assumption which has absolutely no support--in fact, there is plenty of reasonable assumption about what a first-time murderer would or would not do.

It is an interesting idea; however, to suggest that Jodi is innocent of premeditation because she "chickened out like a little *****." Those are the murderers own words. What is she talking about?

She must be talking about failing to execute something that she had planned to do, right? THAT MEANS PREMEDITATION!!! Of course she realized that she had erred in saying this to Det. Flores, so she decided to cover a multitude of mistakes with "the fog."

Some juries do not vote at all until they have reviewed all the evidence and discussed the elements. Speculating about there being disagreements, etc, is just the nervous projections of us trial watchers.

One can be a trial watcher and observe the wheels of justice turn, have sympathy for the families, etc, without IDENTIFYING with the process. You know you have identified when you have symptoms. This trial is not about the nation as a whole and our justice system--it is just one case among many. If there weren't photographs, we wouldn't be here at all. If there weren't sex plus religion, it wouldn't hold as much interest.

Partners have been butchered like this by their partners before and they went to Death Row enjoying a degree of anonymity. Jodi Arias was beautiful and inserted herself as a succubus in a religious community. How interesting is that?

How many of us have wondered as we are in church, is something going on between the pastor and the choir director? There is something in us that delights when the mighty fall. We love to read about someone who turns out to be a big fat hypocrite. Not deeply though, because we'll vote for them being that they are the common man(woman).

Truth is we are all hypocrites in some way or another, and those who set themselves above us as leaders often delight their followers when they fall.

Lovely. They're "laughing a lot". No one who has anything to do with TA is laughing at all.

I did not take the 12 year old girl comment to mean that TA had any kind of fantasy about 12 year old girls. I use that phrase a lot, like when my boss gets all frustrated and uses that high pitched voice to make a point. To me it means you are coming across as immature. I hate to see all the anger going back and forth between this wonderful WS family. I think the stress of the last four months not ending with a verdict today has made us a bit edgy. JMO

My question to that member was if she would be okay if her partner suggested a sexual fantasy wherein she raped little boys. She replied that if it were fantasy, then it was just fine, and sure.

I am shocked that ANYONE onWS would be cool with that. I know that I will keep an even closer watch on my baby, seeing how many people here think it's no big deal. I now know how many sick people are out there waiting to hurt my child. :(

Even JA couldn't do this lie and she stated that the meaning was more closely about "ravishing". ARRRGh...

What the hay does social media have to do with a woman setting out to kill a man and doing it in the most horrific and despicable fashion possible?

moo

What I was referring to was the amount of ims and text messages, ALV had a problem with anything computer related... I really meant media. Facebook, myspace, social media. Just thinking if the younger jurors need to explain why the ims, texts etc... I was thinking how age might play out in such a diverse jury. How a juror brings to the table personal experience. I guess I am wondering what would be time consuming for this jury.

REALLY?? JUST REALLY?????

How completely ridiculous to sit and listen to all of this testimony day after day for MONTHS and not be able to come back with a verdict any better than this.

This is a sad, sad statement.
