I have no idea if Det. Flores' Investigation Report was submitted into evidence. Do you know the most accurate and time effective way to get this question answered? Is it maybe somewhere on the WS Legal Q & A thread?

I'm reading ' A stolen life' by Jaycee Dugard that I just bought for my Kindle today. I thought it would help the time pass by. I plan on finishing it by 10 a.m. Arizona time.

I've just read a few passages and my stomach is all queasy. She spent 18 longs years in captivity. It's really hard to fathom. 18 long years in that situation seems like an eternity.

Yet 18 years as a punishment for Arias seems like nothing. 18 times 100 seems like nothing. She deserves to spend the rest of her life in prison. Period. A million lifetimes cannot undo what she has done. I am confident that this jury will sentence her to death.

I don't know if the in chambers meeting happened, but obviously, Juan was able to call her a LIAR several times in his closings without objection. ALV lied on the stand but is there more to come?

Yes, exactly, and we know Nurmi and Willmott (especially Willmott) would jump with objections and they didn't - not a peep about it. My friend thought and I agree, that it was an extremely seriously closed meeting in chambers, more than the lies on her CV. Also... remember when Nurmi referred to pedophile in his closing, Juan immediately got very angry (and they went to sidebar). I think the discussion was more than impeachment..maybe the deal made in chambers was Juan wouldn't push charges, but he can discredit her in anyway he choses, aka "school of lies' comments, etc.....Juan spent a big amount of time referring to ALV's lies. Anyways whatever the discussion was,,,,,,maybe after the trial is over we will all find out. It's interesting I was telling my friend, I noticed how 'silent' Laviolette is 'out there' - I wonder if she's gone into 'hiding' LOL.

For the most part it has been dealt with and is not "who I am". That being said, it is still a piece of my past.
I think I so strongly reject all The Secret represents because if wishing/visualizing/hoping made things come true, I would have lived a very different childhood.
Theories like The Secret just seem insulting and dismissive to those who couldn't "think away" the horrible things that happened in their lives. I guess it feels like one more way to blame the victim... "well, if only you had thought positively and made a vision board maybe your life would have been different..."

Then again, typing this out makes me realize that JUST MAYBE I am taking this whole Secret thing a little too personally... :blushing:
