At the time, Wright lived in Hillsboro, Missouri, in Jefferson County.

"We all got together the day before the wedding at my house," Wright said.

Then there was a combined bachelor/ette party and they went out to a bar.

The actual wedding was the next morning. Everyone stayed at Wright's house and the wedding started at noon at a park.
