Looks like she was brutally attacked laying down after the first few blows. Over kill on a defenseless woman.

The next prosecution witness is called to the stand. It's Kevin Stout, of the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

He is the digital forensic supervisor and has been with the sheriff's office since 2003.

His department recovers evidence from computer and cell phones, he said. Stout is a certified forensic computer examiner and trained in cellphone data recovery.

There are four more witnesses in the back that are expected to testify this morning, Assistant State Attorney Hamid Hunter said. Now we are on a break so the defense and prosecution can work through evidence issues.

Things are moving a lot slower today compared to yesterday. It seems like Judge Kyle is hoping to get all of these evidence issues resolved at once.

I bet the jury isn’t too happy either. Seems like this should have been done pre-trial.

I agree, but that doesn’t seem to match the State’s story from their opening statement. I think that’s what the defense was trying to show.

We are back from break and Kevin Stout, a digital forensic supervisor with the Lee County Sheriff's Office, is back on the witness stand.

Jury is not back in the courtroom yet. The defense is objecting to certain evidence from the state.

Looks like we are going on break again, while the judge weighs a decision on the evidence issues. Assistant State Attorney Cynthia Ross said Stout has about 15 more minutes of testimony to give.

Is the courtroom open to the public? It doesn't look like many people are in there.
