Simmons examined the personal cell phone records of Rodgers and on On June 28, 2015, the records showed the phone pinged to a tower closest to the homicide scene at 6:22 a.m., Simmons said.

The phone pinged at the same location at 6:23 a.m. on the same date, Simmons said.

The prosecution is using phone records to show Rodgers was in the area of the homicide scene close to when Teresa Sievers was killed.

The jury is looking at another map. This one shows phone pings on Rodgers' phone and it shows the phone traveling down to Southwest Florida, Simmons said. There are two pins on the map. One of the pins is Rodgers' residence and the other is the Sievers home in Bonita Springs.

There was no communication between Rodgers and the "burner phone," Simmons said. She did not analyze any "burner phones" allegedly used or owned by Rodgers, she said when asked by Darrow.

Your phone will pick up the best signal and not necessarily the closest tower, Simmons said. The range of towers varies, she said when asked by Darrow.

Darrow is asking Simmons about a disclaimer from AT&T about using the tower data for investigative purposes because it can be "inaccurate."

Is there a difference between something being "exact" and something being "inaccurate," Assistant State Attorney Cynthia Ross asks Simmons said that is correct.

Simmons is released from the stand for now, but is subject to recall in the trial.

The next witness is Winston Chambers. He is employed by Trap Phone Wireless and manages their subpoena compliance department.

His company is a prepaid cellphone business, Winston said.
