I'm not surprised the jury wanted to call it a day after listening to that.

We all needed a break. I have never heard something so horrific but it needed to be told for a conviction.

*Trial Continues (Day 7) (@ 8:30am ET) - FL – Dr. Teresa Ann Grace Sievers (46) (June 29, 2015, Bonita Springs) - *Jimmy Ray Rodgers (28) arrested & charged (2/23/16) & arraigned (5/5/16) with 1st degree premeditated murder with a weapon, conspiracy to commit 1st degree premeditated murder & burglary. Plead not guilty. No bond. DA will seek DP.
Trial began on 10/10/19. Trial expected to last 4 to 5 weeks. Jury: 5 men & 7 women, 2 alternates: 1 man & 1 woman.

10/17/19 Day 6: State witnesses: Myra Simmons (Lee County Sheriff's Office; Simmons is an analyst since 2006 with the sheriff's office. She analyzes call records and does a lot of investigating of cell phones (burner phones). She is subject to recall in the trial. Winston Chambers (employed by TracFone Wireless & manages their subpoena compliance department; his company is a prepaid cellphone business). Suzanne Buchhofer (Lee County Sheriff's Office-analyzed historic precision data for cellphones in murder investigation). Lunch. If the state rests their case today, the defense asks if the court can wait until Monday to begin presenting their case. The judge said he would be inclined to do that because the state's witnesses weren't asked to be here until Monday. Curtis Wayne Wright, Jr. Back from lunch. The court is going to address an issue with a juror who said he is having issues with work before we move forward with more witness testimony. State witness: Curtis Wayne Wright. That's all the questions for now from the State. The judge read the jury instructions about conspiracy. Judge leaving it to the jury to decide if we stick around tonight for cross-examination. They are back in the jury room making their first collective decision together. Jury quick to ask to go home. Releasing for the day. Cross examination begins first thing in the morning 10/18. After Wright, the state has two more witnesses to testify, Assistant State Attorney Cynthia Ross said. One of the witnesses is from the medical examiner's office.
*Mark D. Sievers (50) – Trial tentatively scheduled for 11/12.
*Curtis Wayne Wright, Jr. (41) arrested (10/14/15) & charged (10/20/15) & indicted (5/5/16) with 2nd degree premeditated murder. Plead not guilty. No bond. Took plea deal (2/26/16) plead guilty to 2nd degree murder; serving 25 years, waives all rights to appeal. Will testify at trials. Sentencing on 12/2.

Anyone know "what" happened to the juror who was having problems at work? I don't recall seeing anything about him being excused or "what" actually happened with him.

Rodgers, who is currently on trial, met Wright while they were incarcerated at the Sainte Genevieve County jail in Missouri in 2010.

Wright alleged that he recruited Rodgers to help him kill Teresa Sievers yesterday during his testimony.
