Clearly the only strategy the defense has at this point is to passionately plead during closing arguments to persuade/confuse/plant doubt in the mind of at least one juror.

Considering all the evidence, that's quite a long shot. Okay, though.

eta: Not being critical of them, at all. I can't think of anything they could have done. Don't believe the experts were going to make a dent. Short of JR taking the stand and telling a credible story explaining away this ton of evidence, I can't think of anything else.

I am so confused...wifi keeps cutting out in my hotel (brought ya'll along on my anniversary trip....not going over well with Mr. IQ) Perhaps JRR's family is pushing for closure....... thinking "hearing LESS" from CWW is probably the best for JRR. I must admit, CWW came across as creepy, very creepy. Husky voiced, wearing chains and prison garb.... claiming to have been in solitary confinement. Perhaps he did not intend it, but he came across as a "Hannibal Lector-type" evil genius. Perhaps defense has decided to "close the deal" before the jury has time to get comfortable with CWW's way of presenting info. Why is everyone(defense and prosecution) so upbeat and giddy ??
