One thing that always puzzled me about that last heartbreaking photo - IMO, TA's eyes look nothing like they do in other photos. To me they look much darker. I'm not sure how fear affects the irises or pupils, but I do know that many drugs cause the pupils to dialate, making even the lightest eyes look dark. Wonder if Travis was tranqilized?
Ps I know there weren't any drugs found in his system, but is it possible for traces to disappear during decomposition?

It's adrenaline.

Also, look at JAs eyes while she is being interviewed by Troy Hayden post-verdict. They are blacker then the darkest night.

One minute and ten seconds of sitting on his shower floor, this the man who shaved all his body hair because he loathed the thought of germs lurking there, sitting on the floor of his shower
with the water going, looking at photos of himself in the shower, just because JA thought that would be cute?

Makes absolutely no logical or emotional sense to me. Nothing innocuous or pleasant was going on in that 1 minute and 10 seconds. Jmo.

I think he was simply trying to go along with this "photo shoot" because he figured the faster she finished the faster she would leave and he could prepare for his conference call. I recall he was afraid of roaches but not germs...

Best known Bible verses in the world, Matt 6: 9-15. We have an obligation to forgive in the same way God forgives us. There is no shortage of references to indicate that involves repenting, acknowledging the wrongs we have done, and asking for forgiveness.

BBM. No "we" don't thank you, and I don't follow the New Testament, so please speak for yourself and not others.

I think she was holding the gun on him and ranting throughout that 1 min and 10 seconds. She loudly berated him and explained why she had to do this.

Agree. Without a gun on him he would have made sure to get himself out of that sitting position where he was defenseless. He was a normal guy with a normal instinct for self preservation.

Thank you so much for your kind words and reading. I believe she didn't call 911 right away because it speaks to her sophisticated and extensive degree of premeditation involved. I don't' think for one second she intended to leave that house with Travis alive. The fact that she intended to murder him, got him as absolutely vulnerable as she could--post sex and naked in a shower--speaks to her level of evil and depravity. Imagine if this was a man! Showing up uninvited to a woman's home, using her for sex while planning to kill the lover then getting her in the shower take photos of her up until the second that he started stabbing her? That is utterly sick and beyond anything even remotely human!
Anyway I think you express yourself very well and detail why this murderer deserves the death penalty like no other!

Hi Katie Coo, been reading/ posting with you ever since way back at Court TV. I am so happy for you. You look wonderful, and your fiance is very handsome ( what a beautiful smile he has) Cannot wait to read your book. Isn't the Washington coast beautiful? Again, all the best to you~

But this is why I feel forgiveness is a bit of an abstract concept. I don't think not living in bitterness and anger means you have to forgive someone who's done wrong to you. And I don't think it's anyone else's place to tell someone how to move on with their lives and how to go about their grief or to tell them if they haven't forgiven they have hate in their heart.

I think they already do remember Travis without remembering Jodi. Again, we can't know what's going on with them and I find these comments presuming to unecessary. Like I said before, if someone murdered someone I loved, then sat in court day in and day out telling the most vicious, hateful lies about them, nope, I would not forgive them. Ever. And that would be my right and I would be very upset if someone told me I have to forgive them or my life will never be good, or whatever the flowery ideas are. I would move on. I would remember that person for all the good and would not allow the killer to take up one more second of my life or any of my thoughts or create negativity in me. But I would not forgive them. That is something that's hard to do, I imagine when you have to sit in court every day with them. I imagine that is some part of why Steven stopped showing up. What a beat down.

BBM. I totally agree!!! Well-said!!:clap::clap::clap::goodpost:

Why would he have been wearing a fitness tracker while he slept though? Candles need lit also.

I think there were meant to always be worn like the FitBit.

One of the weird things in this job description is the part that says:

The role of a mitigation specialist is to present mitigating circumstances and factors to all players within the criminal justice system (prosecutors/probation officers/judges/jurors) in an effort to persuade all relevant parties that this particular individual’s case merits special consideration.

According to this job description, Maria is supposed to be persuading the PROSECUTOR of the defendants worthiness. She sure has a weird way of communicating with him. Does tweeting insults about him count?

I do see how she is 'persuading' the jury though. She is constantly interacting in an intimate and close way with the killer. Rubbing her, whispering, smiling, commiserating. IT is so odd they way they arer allowing them to carry on.

Yes, I believe the way she is interacting (rubbing, whispering, smiling, commiserating) with the murderer , goes way past her job description. It's as if Ms De La Rosa is attempting to humanize the convicted killer. Have they really bonded that much? Seems rather unprofessional. Has anyone seen this from a Mitigation Specialist before?

It could also be intentional on his killers part. *ok, now let's get some with you sitting down* or she kneels down and asks him to look at the pics she's taken so far....bcse she knows once she pulls the knife he will be even more defenseless scrambling to stand up in the wet shower to try and defend himself

I know many will say I am wrong, and if I am so be it, but I REALLY think that court will start tomorrow with an announcement that a verdict has been reached. I just have this feeling that they had reached a decision but paperwork/hours/security you name it would not allow them to finish all the formalities. I'm telling you.....I feel it. I have my alarm set and I am going to have to roofie myself to sleep at all tonight ; )

(ps, I temporarily took my signature prancer kitty off because its gonna be a zoo in here tomorrow and I don't wanna slow anyone's feed down)
I think so too. When I heard they left smiling, I thought that meant that the jury might have agreed on a verdict. I hope We're right and I pray it's the DP.

True. But she has managed to have friends in jail. Perhaps this is the reason she has replaced her tithe to the Temple with using 10% of her weekly commissary to give to less fortunate inmates as she claimed in an interview :jail:

All of that came to an abrupt end after her post conviction interview when she said she would welcome the DP. She was whisked away to a padded cell, on suicide watch, and has been in isolation 23/24 ever since.

I'm not gonna aggravate myself with thoughts of her enjoying friends and feasts ever again, because I'm convinced she'll be on death row in Perryville, as early as tomorrow night.

I had said something similar a couple of pages back. It just seems so unprofessional the way she behaved. I'm shocked that the tweeting was aloud.

Agree. I think the verdict comes after lunch tomorrow or anytime on Tuesday

Has she really been in isolation ever since her interview? Something is not agreeing with her. She looks terrible, as if she is rotting from the inside out.

I hope the jurors spent the weekend burning up Google's servers trying to find the information that should have been provided to them about this liar. I'm sure their families and friends have been googlin' up a storm the whole time. What are the chances that everyone has kept their lips zipped the whole time?

I hope and trust no juror is doing any such thing. They have been given all the information they're allowed to have, and more than enough to decide whether or not to be merciful.

What are the chances they haven't discussed the trial? A 100% chance, I hope and believe. I trust their integrity.

I still think the duct tape was use to tape the gun or knifes to her skin.

How long was the piece of duct tape, does anyone know? If Jodi used it, and it was wrapped around her thigh or maybe an ankle (underneath those loose pants), and if it went even a little more than once around, well, duct tape is, er, very sticky and she might have had a hard time getting it unstuck. No doubt she practiced at home, but still. Was a roll of duct tape ever found?

Jodi could also have used duct tape to fasten the camera somewhere while she was taking timed shots in the bedroom.

Maybe she meant to take the SD card (leave the camera); and THAT got lost in the towels. ?
I have always believed she meant to take the memory card with her. Murders often take trophies of their victim (or crime) with them from the crime scene. I believe she used the photo shoot to trap Travis in the shower. She then kept up the picture taking as her own trophy of the murder.
I don't know anything about how to Photoshop. Is there anyway to Photoshop the color of ones hair? If there is, would it be hard to tell from the small pictures?

Disagree that everyone is 100% compliant, based on human nature, but I respect your posts. :seeya:

I still think she used a stun gun on him first. Is that timing right for the amount of time he would have been down?
