Its mentioned during the blood spatter experts Direct that a shoe print was found (not barefoot or socked) in the bloody hallway. Her letter to the family states " I was at unfair disadvantage because she (the ninja) had shoes and I was in my barefeet." later in the letter " I ran out the front door, leaving behind my shoes, and slamming the door........."

So was she barefoot, socked, or shoed during the attack? Another mystery unsolved.

Juan says socks and iirc Jodi testified she had on socks...there were about 6-8 socks in the washer with the towel and camera...

Has she really been in isolation ever since her interview? Something is not agreeing with her. She looks terrible, as if she is rotting from the inside out.

BBM She is

Ask anyone who has had a relationship with a psychopath or someone severely personality disordered, years later, what made them stay in the relationship and I'd wager the common theme would be manipulation. You can't see it at the time because you're just too close and trying to make sense of all the crazy around you...Travis himself had a lot of insight but you're also coming as close to the human personification of evil as you ever will. Part of you is screaming that no one is actually that bad, that cold and calculating even when you're confronted with irrefutable evidence that they are exactly that. Ultimately, that person is someone you trusted, someone you cared for. It's nearly impossible to reconcile. And they use everything they know about you as a weapon against you - religion, career success, love of family. Everything that matters to you becomes warped by them.

The only way out of any relationship with a psychopath is very resolute no contact. They'll push every boundary and attempt to manipulate you back in (stalking, threatening suicide, promising counseling, threatening pets, children or family, etc.) but once there, you're trapped all over again and psychological abuse will often escalate. Sometimes lethally.

Your opinion is worth a whole lot to me.
You have taught me so much about CMJA. Your insight helps me to understand her pure evil.
I always look for your posts because they are that good.
You have gone through hell, shared living through that hell with the members here.
Your posts also reinforce what I believe the outcome of this case should be...the DP. I have mixed feelings about the DP, but in this case I have no doubt that CMJA is an evil psychopath and will kill again if ever free in society.

The circles under his eyes look as though he may not have slept in some time. So sad to think what all may have happened before her final assault on him. Damn I wish he had punched her and knocked her out!!!

I know...I think she never said a cross word to him to alert him. I think she sprung on him totally unexpected and stabbed him in the heart while he was trying to get up. He had no warning poor guy

Also during the blood spatter experts Direct, Juan alludes to a cleaning utensil being used in the hallway along with the water. I just figured towels but he mentions a "utensil".

She could have put socks on over her pumas or whatever it was she had for shoes... then after taking them off to do the laundry she may have accidentally left a shoe print while washing down the walls.

IIRC, when she returned the rental car they said that there was a big stain that looked like a Kool-Aid stain. I think a lot of bloody items were in the back seat of that car. She probably wrapped them up to keep the blood from running out, but did a poor job of it. I think all of those things were disposed of in the desert. JMO

Does anyone recall if this jury has heard about the gun she bought, (the 9mm)? I know the first jury did.

Wait... what? The first trial (guilt part) heard that? I don't remember that, at all. I thought that was kept out because it was too "prejudicial" or some such?????????

Why? She could have showed it to him after taking it then continue shooting. Or she could have been lying to Det Flores.

Lying , yes. That's what she does, that's almost all that she does.

I'll binge watch from on demand soon. Thanks.

It's good. He was on the run when NY reopened an investigation into his missing wife when he killed a neighbor in Galveston, dismembered him and threw him in the bay. He's also suspected of killing a friend in Los Angeles

As I recall, in the letter to Travis' family, she indicated she grabbed her purse, but left her shoes behind.

Why did she say this? (about the shoes)

IMO, she was in a major adrenaline rush following the butchering of TA. IMO she frantically threw her bloodied clothes into a garbage bag, then showered her worthless carcass (with or without TA's body in the shower concurrently).

The "shoe" comment is because JA wasn't sure if she had/had not picked up ALL the evidence (at the time she said this ... approx 1 month post murder)

I have often wondered that about myself. WOULD I BE TEMPTED TO LOOK AT THE NET FOR CLUES if I was a juror?

If I was being held in a hotel with the jurors and being watched, I know for sure I would not try to sneak a peek. HOWEVER, If I went home very night, and had total freedom..... vs

I've been there. I didn't. I adhered to the jury instructions and my oath. Wasn't that difficult, in the least. Wasn't sequestered.

ETA: This was before our Gov/state legislature did away with the DP in 2009 or so here in New Mexico.

I think the tweeting was encouraged, as part of the DT's campaign to solicit and provoke the haters to anger, so they could then turn to JSS and say.....see? Evidence of the need for secrecy. Evidence she's being denied "fully actualized mitigation." Evidence of why witnesses feel intimidated...yada fricking yada.

So thankful to never again have to hear Nurmi -speak.

BBM Yes! I'm watching the Robert Durst series on HBO, and his DT admitted they used hyperbole and misdirection during his Texas murder trial. And it worked! After watching this and the Anthony trials I don't know if I could ever believe a defense attorney as a juror. I'm jaded for life.

Barefoot, I believe.
